While they were discussing, I came across a long, love-shaped blue crystal in the shape of a necklace. It was like a couple’s stuff. I took it, saw how expensive it was, and knew it would surely suit North.
“Oh, there he is.” I heard Ava’s voice. “Trust me, that stuff is definitely for, North.”
“Buying some wonderful things for North, as usual. Oh my, North is such a queen.”
I turned back and saw Inker’s fingers on my cheek as she playfully pinched it.
“You are always a puppet to the North.”
“Can you guys leave me alone? I am not a puppet.” I remarked, and then the others ran for their items as soon as Inker told them to excuse us.
“Everyone knows how adorable the both of you look; at this rate, North will never find her mate.”
I smiled and laid down the packet in which I saw the necklace on the cart and looked over at Inker. ‘I take care of North because she is the youngest of us all.’
“You’ve been saying that for years, but I am clever, and I’ve noticed the look in your eyes.” She walked alongside me.
I frowned. “What exactly do you mean?”
Inker came closer to me. “I know everyone is trying to hide the fact, trying to pretend as if they are not seeing what is going on here.”
I sighed and rolled my eyes. “What are you talking about?”
“You have feelings for her, Bjorn.”
“What! Feelings for a child?” I burst out laughing. “Did you hit your head somewhere or have those romantic werewolf movies clouded your head?”
“I’m serious; maybe you don’t realize it yet, but it’s the truth.”
“North is my cousin,” I reasoned. “Why would I have feelings for my cousin?”
“It wouldn't make sense now, but it will make sense to you later on; trust me, the way you are drawn to her is so deep, Bjorn.”
I laughed. “Will you stop watching romantic movies?”
“I’m not joking; you know I’m super serious; my instinct never lies.”
Those words stuck with me.
I shrugged those words off my head and faced the things I needed to get for North. I don’t care what she says to me, but I’m taking care of North. It’s better to ignore those silly talks of hers.
What do my cousins think all day? Why are they so obsessed with me taking care of North?
North was back from school; she ran to me and gave him a warm hug. Everyone was celebrating North’s success by throwing a gigantic party for her because of her excellent academics.
So, I had taken her to the guest toilet so I could see how beautifully the necklace I bought for her fits on her slender neck before the others grab her attention.
“It’s beautiful,” she uttered admiringly as she stared at herself in the mirror.
“You really like it?”
“Yes, I love it so much, Bjorn; you know blue is my favorite color. I love the heart shape; it’s just like love.”
“Yeah,” I laughed, then I realized something. “Wait, what?”
“Umm… I mean, it’s beautiful, Bjorn.” She said this quickly, opened up the packet even more, and saw the second piece of the necklace. “It looks like a couple’s package,” she whispered.
“Yeah, it does. Inker was saying the same thing. You could keep it, just in case...” I paused as she wrapped it around my neck, standing on a stool and clipped it, fixing it properly on me.
She exclaimed in excitement. “It looks great on you, Bjorn.”
“Yeah, but it is…” She smashed her lips on mine. I was shocked at her actions, but surprisingly, I accepted the kiss, wrapped my hands around her little back, and kissed her back.
The burning passion I had not known I had for North blew up.
Her lips were the sweetest, so delicate, pink, and soft. It made me want to devour her. I sucked on her tongue and her lower lip, grabbed the whole of my mouth, and kissed her lavishly.
I lost myself in her charms, her body, and her soul. I carried her as she wrapped her legs around my waist and kissed her even more.
Neither of us knew what went on; the only reason we knew was that we both existed in our own little world and nothing more.
“Bjorn,” she softly whispered, pulled away from me with her arms around my neck as we looked deeply into each other’s deep gazes. But when I looked down, I could see her naked upper body, the pink little n*****s calling out to me to suck the s**t out of them.
Her rough hair was all over her face; she looked really messed up and was panting.
I realized myself and gently dropped her down on her feet. Horrified, and instead of looking at her in the face, I ran away.
Those words Inker said to me at the supermarket kept ringing in my ear, and all I had to do was run away, leaving poor North all by herself.
Why did she have to kiss me suddenly? What did she expect me to do about it?
I’m an Alpha, for crying out loud; why the hell did she have to kiss me like that? That was absurd for a child to do such a thing. I can’t tolerate such an attitude from a child.
What is wrong with me?
During dinner, I tried as much as possible not to make eye contact with North. It was shameful enough to do such a thing in the bathroom. I can’t even look her in the eye; I could die of embarrassment right now.
“Is anything wrong between you guys, Bjorn?”
The minute I heard my name, I choked on my food. Couldn’t they just stop talking? I am not just in the mood for talks; why can’t I just be alone at this moment?
“Sorry.” Inker apologized.
“Yeah, sort of unusual.” Chloe agreed with Ava and turned to me. “Did you guys have a fight?”
No response.
“Woah, is it that bad?” Ava exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes at her. “Can you keep quiet and focus on your food, cousin? I’m just not in the mood for talks, okay?” I stated.
“Is it really that bad?” Chloe teased and turned to North, whom I haven’t looked in the eye since she came for dinner.
“North, tell me what happened?”
“Umm… it’s…nothing. It’s just that... I am... umm,” she stuttered as she scratched her head.
“Can you leave her alone so she can eat properly?” I cut in with a slight bit of annoyance in my tone.
“Woah, so you brought her this necklace at last; it’s really beautiful, North. Can you lend it to me? I love it.”
“No! No! No, I am not lending it to you, and I don’t care if you can buy a hundred folds of it; this is Bjorn’s gift to me. So, I am not giving it to anyone else.”
