Fahad allowed a little distance between them as he trailed them. It was a market day and the village was chock-a-block with people from the village, neighboring villages and tourists.
They walked down the slope, descending from the mount. No roads for cars but the natives made a way for motor-cycles. He kept following them until they reached the ground. The doctor and the lady moved to a jeep, got in and drove away.
The trail was a debacle. Jeff had driven the SUV away but it was obvious that the doctor was no stranger here. They were told that Ardo was a native of this place. How come no one seemed to remember him? They asked so many people but never got a satisfactory answer. But his informant said they lived here and left with a whiteman. Where did he get that from?
