Kissed by the Enemy

Chapter 2

The celebration happens for two weeks, and the children are called to their father's chambers for the first time. Only mafias are allowed there. The twins are happy to have been honoured with this invitation by their father, so they dress up in their finest robes and gowns to meet their father.

"Good day, father," the twins greeted,

"Good day, my son and daughter," Jacob answered with his voice trembling around the room, that the servants to shake

"I have invited you to my chambers, the only place that you haven't been in this house since you were born...I am highly impressed by your performance at the ceremony, you both made me proud, I know that over the past years, your lives have been shaped for that day, and you both did not disappoint, "he said, turning his head sideways stretching forth his hand, signalling his servants for something.

"Whoosh whoosh"

Knives were thrown at them, and they skillfully dodged the knives

"Dad," Isabella snapped

"Why did you know knives at us?" She asked in astonishment, mixed with confusion, about her father's actions

" I was only testing you, and yes, you are ready for the next stage of your training," her father responded

"Next training, you say? " Isaac asked

"Yes, and it starts now."

Their dad tore his robe, and underneath was a combat cloth ready for war

And they skillfully fought their dads with the spades and guns till they were exhausted.

Jacob nodded in satisfaction and said

"Come with me."

They followed him to another secret station that was fully loaded with guns and all sorts of weapons, and they were both mesmerized by the beauty of this place

" This will be where your next training will be, and you should be ready at all times," Jacob said

"Yes, Dad," they both echoed

Back on the dining table filled with so many delicacies and the sweet, savoury aroma filled the air

"It's dinner time," Sarah called

They both came downstairs and they came together as a family, said their prayers and ate their food

"So, how was Dad's chambers? " Sarah asked

"Oh, it was okay," Isabella said

"I was excited till dad threw knives at us and we started training, "Isaac said with a stern face at his dad munching on his food

"You know that your dad means well, and he's trying to help you help yourself, we won't always be here to guide you....."

"Mum, stop," Isabella said

" I know that yes, the rival mafia gang will attack someday and I know that it will be a difficult time for us, but that's why we have each other, we stand and we fight....I won't let anything happen to both of you."

" Yes, Mum and Dad, we won't let anything happen to both of you, "Isaac added

"I know that you both mean well, and I know that you guys will protect us, but I will not always be here, so as your father, but we will always guide you through the end ".Sarah said

"Eat up early morning tomorrow, "Jacob said.

In Jacob and Sarah's room, they both are on the bed until Sarah breaks the silence

"I don't like it, they both live in fear that one day, they will lose us," Sarah said softly

" I know, but this is their reality, we die protecting our bloodline, our clan , We can't let fear consume them like weaklings... Don't worry, every

thing will be fine".Jacob assured.
