Saying so she left quickly
Shirley ate the meal quickly because she was hungry even though she never knew what it was because she hadn't seen one like it before
Not long after Mandy left,another girl came into the kitchen
"Poor Vidya,Saloni wants to make your fine clothing smell of smoke" she said more to Saloni than to her self
"Vidya", Shirley bowed as this was how Saloni greeted them
" Hmm,you look less like a ghost today,my mother says you should serve the food quickly unless you want me to die of hunger and also late to see my friend"Vidya said scornfully and left
Shirley quickly arranged the plates putting each meal into large plates and took with her smaller plates into the little dining room her aunt had,she was lucky that at least her old self Saloni knew how to cook well and the memories were still there.
When she entered the dining room,she carefully arranged the dishes on the small table and was about to leave when her older cousin Akira called
She was the first child of Saloni's aunt,she had a cold attitude which anyone who was around would notice
Tall,pretty,white skin with long black hair, she could pass on as a beauty queen but her cold aura coupled with her deep voice and pride made people even her mum to fear her.After all,no man would like to have an arrogant woman as a wife.
'Saloni' ,she thundered
'Yes, Akira',she was little bit startled by the hoarse voice.
"Mum,Vidya come with us" she said and quickly left the room dragging Saloni roughly
The duo immediately stood up from the floor and followed behind
They entered large room filled with clothed grouped according to colors
Shirley realized that this was where all her cousins and aunt clothes were kept after washing
"Beautiful and vast number of clothes" she commented within,she was still admiring the different colors and patterned clothing when Akira's voice broke her from her reverie
"Mum why don't we sell this dumb Saloni to the traders,rather than for her to stay here and cause more havoc,Akira said.
Hearing such words, Shirley couldn't hold herself any longer, who was Akira to call her a dumb girl ,in her own world,she was greatly educated and moreover she would soon take her mother's crown both as queen and great witch
If this was how Saloni,the owner of this body was being treated like a disgusting being,she wouldn't allow it to be so again.
" What do u mean Akira?",she replied
Her words shocked her aunt and cousins
They all thought alike
How dare she?
Speaking back to Akira?
When did she grow wings?
Was she ready for heavy punishment?
Akira gave a sharp and anger filled gaze to her mum as if conversing with each other and as though saying
"You're keeping quiet watching?"
Her aunt slapped her heavily
Shirley could only hold the cheek that hurt,no tears came out
"It seems the ugly pig is trying to be strong headed" Vidya said with a faint smile
That was an expensive rare scarf, her mother bought when some men came to trade in their village
"I need my scarf as new and clean as it was" saying so,she left the room
Her mother and aunt could only follow behind without questioning and they all went back to eat
Shirley was shocked at her attitude
"How arrogant", she muttered to herself
Even she from a royal family was taught never to destroy a gift nor act like a superior over anybody.
Back in the dining room,Vidya could only think within,,she was responsible for the stain when she accidentally sat on the scarf while on a heavy flow
But since no one asked her about it,,,Poor Saloni, was to be blamed
