Chapter 7

ALISONS POV:

I called Lisa to help with my outfit for tonight's movie and dinner with Clay. I don't want to dress up too much and Clay did say to wear something comfy to our date and that is where Lisa fits in she will make sure I look my best. I'm so excited.

I just dress in short pants and a crop top with flowers on it. I run downstairs to the smell and sound of nothing. Where is mom I wonder, I found a note on the counter " sorry sweetheart, I had to leave early to the office, please make something for yourself or get some cereal out of the cupboard". This is different mom always makes us breakfast on a Saturday and we eat together. I go to the cupboard and pull out some cereal and a bowl and pull the milk from the fridge.

I decided to go and watch some Netflix. I grab some snacks out of the cupboard as well and get comfortable on the couch, a little nap might just help as well. Lisa will be by at 4 o'clock to help me get ready so I have some time too kill.

I check my watch it is almost 4 Lisa should almost be here and just as I switch the TV off and grab my dirty bowl and empty packets and turn to the kitchen, the door bell rings. I think to myself this girl and her time, she must have strict parents when it came to the time and being late. I make a mental note to ask her about it later.

I open the door and there Lisa is tapping her foot. "You do take your sweet time don't you", Lisa says smiling. Lisa is wearing a beautiful white sun dress and black pump wedges.

Come on we have a lot to do, she grabs 2 bottles of water out the fridge and heads up the stairs and I am right on her heels. Ali you go and get in the shower wash your hair and then we can get started. Yes, sir I say giggly

Lisa goes in my wardrobe looking for the perfect outfit, I grab my towel and head to the bathroom,. I strip and open the shower taps and get the water temperature just right and get in, I wet my hair and I'm just standing under the nice warm water with my whole body and just let the water consume me, maybe it will take away the nervousness I'm feeling. "Hey are you still there", I hear Lisa's voice coming through the door. yes I say. I start washing my hair, soon the whole shower smells of strawberries, I have been using the same shampoo since I was 10 I just never seem to get bored of it. I rinse my hair put some conditioner in and grab my shower gel my ocean breeze just washes away the tensions. I finish washing my body and rinse the conditioner out of my hair and get out of the shower. I rap my hair in a small towel and rap my body in a fluffy big towel. The mirror is all fogged up, I take my hand and just give it a swipe to get the fog off I brush my teeth and walk out of the bathroom.

"You better be clean and refreshed after that long shower", Lisa says with a grin. She waves towards the chair in front of my dressing table and I have a seat. Okay first we dry your hair and then get dressed and then we do make up, hair and a little accessories.

O no what have I gotten myself into, I say to Lisa. Stop moaning, Lisa says. we are going to take your beauty and just let is shine. Lisa blow-dries my hair, she goes to my wardrobe and takes a cute little pink sundress which was a bit revealing but it sat right on all the right places that showed off enough of my curves with a matching leather jacket and a black heel. Now on to the make-up and hair . Lisa puts some light make up and just some mascara and a beautiful pink lipstick, not too dark just light and flowing. she puts a few curls at the ends of my hair and a half up-down hair style. she swirls me around in the chair so that I can see my reflection and can I say I look freaking HOT. I can't even believe it really me. "Ali, ALI, hello earth to Alison" Lisa asks waving her hand in front of me to get my attention.

Lisa you are f*****g awesome, you did a beautiful job. Lisa finishes with just a few minutes to spare, as I take a twirl In front of the mirror, there is a knock on the front door. I give a little squeal, he is here, I give a quick look over and Lisa and I walk to the door, my tummy is doing back flips and I'm so nervous. We get to the door and open it and Clay is just standing and staring at me, it looked kinda like the movies where the guys jaw just dropped. Lisa clears her throat and just says Hi and bye and disappears to her car, I'm left standing there like a totally i***t.

Say something I think to myself anything. Hi cool sneakers, face plant, seriously cool sneakers. Clay is dressed in a tight black jean and a tight fitting button up grey shirt, and he is looking hot is a understatement.

Clay gives a cute grin, thanks, you look gorgeous tonight Ali. Are you ready to go ?

Clay hooks his arm around mine and escorts me to his car and opens the door for me, helping me to get in and closing the door. Such a gentleman I think with a smile.
