Uta VS Sienna - Part Two

(Shanks POV)

Initially I was shocked to find Uta using a fruit this dangerous on her sister, I saw Uta raise the blade ready the plunge it into Sienna’s sleeping body, my hand reached out grabbing her wrist, preventing her from impaling my daughter, I was furious. These two girls were never supposed to harm each other but I knew Uta hated Sienna for the simple fact she was my blood and Uta wasn’t but I always showed them both the same love, my crew was standing behind me and I can tell that she was in shock to see me again after so many years. Seeing Sienna like this on the ground both angered me but also filled me with sorrow seeing blood dripping from her lips.

“Uta… why are you doing this to your sister?”

Almost instantly her anger came to her face as I asked why she would hurt Sienna, I immediately pulled Sienna into myself trying to comfort her.

“She’s not my sister! If she were you wouldn’t have loved her more than me!”

“Uta, I loved you both equally”

“No you’re lying! You spent more time with her! You always trained and took her with you wherever you went! You always said you were proud of her and then you left me!”

Uta’s voice grew louder in despair as she confronted Shanks with years of grief after being abandoned but Shanks couldn’t help but notice Sienna’s breathing becomes heavier showing she was once again fighting in the dream, as if she could sense that her father was there waiting for her to wake up as he held her in his arm trying to comfort his daughter which made Uta grudge even more. I looked straight into her eyes.

“I never abandoned you, I wanted you to become the greatest musician in the world” I looked down at Sienna’s body, she was weakening by the second, small grunts escaping her as cuts appear on her arms and legs, nothing too deep but still nasty enough to make her bleed.

“You’re my daughter just as Sienna is and right now you’re hurting your sister”

“SHES NOT MY SISTER!! She took you from me every second she got! She got to stay with you and the crew while I couldn’t! - she doesn’t deserve anything but to just disappear for good!”

Uta was breaking down, I could see Sienna’s temperature rising, she was going through hell trying to survive and wake up at the same time.

“This is actually more satisfying… she’s killing herself trying to escape from me.”

Uta smirked, clearly seeing Sienna being hurt over and over while trying to wake up was almost like therapy taking away every memory and making them disappear.

“UTA!!” Shanks yelled to grab her attention, he regretted raising his voice at her - he had never done that to either of the girls but he couldn’t help it when Sienna was struggling so badly in Uta’s dream world. If Sienna didn’t wake up soon… he refused to think what would happen.

“You’re my beloved daughter Uta and the red hair pirates musician - you always will be…”

Shanks started to try a new calm method, his worry for Sienna was growing and hurting Uta’s feelings wouldn’t make things any better, he needed to reassure her but this made Uta frown in confusion.

“Then why did you abandon me and keep her? Sienna said you did it so I could pursue a path in music… but I know it’s bullshit she’ll say anything to escape punishment” Uta said almost sure of herself “she’s weak in my world… nothing but weak!” She spat showing her anger towards Sienna as a deep cut appears on Sienna’s cheek making her cry out in pain.

“Sienna was right, you weren’t going to learn anything on the ship with me, you needed to go out and achieve your dream - you wouldn’t have learned anything with us… I just wanted the best life for you Uta”

Shanks let Sienna’s head fall gently onto his lap using his arm to hold Uta’s shoulder as he looked her in the eyes.

“You and Sienna are both my daughters and as your father i can’t stand seeing my daughter’s suffering… Uta please… let your sister wake up before you can’t take what you did back”

Uta was hesitating, it appeared I was getting through to her…

“Come to me Uta, don’t hurt yourself or Sienna more than you already have - I know deep down you don’t want to do this either… I’m a bad father but Sienna doesn’t deserve to suffer for my actions”

Uta looked down seeing Sienna’s breathing was becoming sparse, she knew Sienna collapsed in the dream after receiving a fatal blow to the stomach, she could see the blood coming through Sienna’s dress, then she decided to let it go, moving quickly into Shanks’ arm embracing him in a tight hug as she released Sienna from the dream realm. Sienna awoke with wide eyes gasping for air as she clenched onto her stomach making Shanks realise what has happened. He looked over his shoulder

“Hongo… please…”

Shanks called for his crew’s doctor who hopped straight into action taking Sienna gently away from Shanks to help her back at the ship with the proper tools.

Shanks stood up keeping Uta close and started to walk back to the ship.

“You certainly are troublesome… just like Sienna”

Shanks spoke but Uta didn’t say anything as she realises the effects of what happened to Sienna, if she hadn’t released her when she did who knows what could have happened… most likely death.

As the crew boarded the ship again Shanks sat down on a barrel and gestures to Uta, confused she frowns.

“Well it’s been awhile, I want to hear you sing”

Shanks spoke which made Uta immediately smile.
