DANIEL’S POV.
I snapped my eyes open, batting my lashes together as I tried to avoid the cruel thing called sleep. My eyes went to the clock on the wall, a yawn escaping my lips as I sat up. Three hours and she was not back yet. Three hours and even the kids were not awake.
I mindlinked Kai immediately, hoping to get some information out of him. I was going to stay till the kids woke up, to protect them and to even speak to them for the first time.
"Where are you?"
"Giving instructions to the guards." Kai retorted.
"And where is she?" I asked, leaning back to the bed.
"According to the man, your highness, she’s just at home. Nothing much yet."
I cut off the mindlink as the door opened, my eyes lazily looking at the doctor who bowed in front of me, "your highness, the kids are awake
