CHAPTER 3: BROAD DAY ENCOUNTER

LIAM’s POV

“This is his office sir!” My personal assistant squeaked out beside me, his voice came out very soft and shaky like a scared cat, I wondered in my mind why he's scared again this morning.

It's not like he offended me, my anger was directed to the manager we have come to see. I offered my scared personal assistance a soft glance for the first time since we left the office an hour ago.

He relaxed a little and smiled back at me, he's one very versatile, useful and hardworking staff, been with me since my fathers’ death, I need to put a check on my anger before it chases him away.

Jumping out of my car, without waiting for any of my body guards I made for the main entrance, the glass entrance door wasn't closed, so I opened it and stepped in, my body guards and personal assistance at my heel.

“You really have the guts to sit in your office and smoke away…. Really James!. I thundered at the chubby man sitting behind his desk. Immediately the man looked up and met Eye to Eye with me. He dropped his rolled smoke and jumped out of his seat.

“Sir!.... What a surprise… I wasn't expecting you sir!” I slumped on the empty red cushion opposite him and watched as he rushed away from his table and moved cautiously towards me to bowing greetings, one of my bodyguards pushed him to kneel and he immediately complied.

“The girl?” I asked, refreshing his memory, trying so hard to keep my voice away from anger. I didn't want to let my anger out, although I find it very difficult whenever it has to do with the strange green-eyed girl.

“The girl? …. Which… Oooh” the manager eye popped with recognition, he quickly dragged his phone from his left pocket and dialed a number repeatedly with his chubby shaky fingers.

One of my body guards looked at me to ask if he should hit him, I shook my head in negative, I didn't want any beating today, I just wanted answers, how to find the girl.

“ I swear boss… I called her immediately and sent your message to her, she promised to…. Ooooh she played me…. If I lay my hands on her…” the manager was lamenting to me, but I really didn't want to hear whatever he was saying.

I kept staring at him, hoping would understand me before I finally resorted to violence. He dialled another number and a voice spoke from the other side.

I couldn't hear their conversation so clearly as I didn't want to, so I lost interest immediately. The voice on the other line said the first words of greeting, it wasn't the green eyed girl voice, I know her voice, stamped permanently in my head and wouldn't go.

After about a minute of conversation, he ended the call and spoke to me with a hope filled eyes, “she isn't one of us sir… It was a one time job but I know her location, she attends a college in the rural part” the man rushed out the whole time, holding his breath.

I noticed the beads of sweat on his forehead. Before I gave him a heart attack, I gestured for my suited bodyguard to move away from him a little bit. He looks like someone who will drop dead anytime from now, the manger sighed loudly in relief when my men moved away from him.

“And how did you know this!” I barked the question at him.

“The girl who sent her to me attends the same school with her, she's waiting for you there….” He responded.

My heart immediately came back to full life, when I heard the news, I would finally see her again.

I stood up abruptly and made for the door. Without needing to say anything, I heard my personal assistant ask for the number needed to direct us to my green eye girl.

I grinned in satisfaction, my assistant is a very smart man, I hardly tell him what to do, working with me all these years had done the teaching.

We made straight for the college, the drive was about another hour and a few minutes, my heart beat increased in anticipation all through the journey.

Thinking of several ways to punish her for walking out on me, she would regret she ever did that. I need to start teaching her from now hence forth.

TERESA’s POV

I sat on Dato’s lap and laughed loudly at his wild jokes. One thing I love about my boyfriend, he's never boring, his groups of friends gather around him; he's very popular in the whole school and everyone loves him.

Although he only has eyes for me, I played with his hair unconsciously and just enjoyed his jokes and warmth, then I sensed the instant shift of atmosphere before I even saw the reason.

Everyone kept quiet at once, including Dato. Their eyes all looking to the same direction, my eyes followed as well and immediately my heart stopped in my chest.

I staggered out of Dato’s lap like someone who had been caught cheating, he looked up at me with questions in his eyes, the man was storming toward me with pure rage in his piercing grey eyes.

Fear gripped me at once and I knew I would be stuck if he opened his mouth in front of Dato, with one final backward look at Dato, I walked forward hastily to meet the familiar strange man.

“What the hell are you doing in my school!” I almost screamed at him as I met chest to chest with him, he stopped in his track, inhaled his breath like he was trying to control his anger, then he looked behind me, his cold eyes searching into Dato’s.

Before I knew it, about six men in expensive blue suit came out of nowhere and surrounded Dato like they wanted to take him to s*******r.

At that point, I knew I had messed up big time, this man standing before me is not just wealthy, he's crazy, bossy and influential. Everyone around the vicinity in my school was gapping at us wide eyed, some were even taking pictures and making videos.

“What is happening… Please let Dato go! Please… talk to me!” I screamed at him, my anger getting the best of me. Wealthy people and their sense of authority, that's why I hate them.

“He's your boyfriend?” the man asked me, he didn't try to hide the jealousy and anger in his voice, I shook my head in agreement, the next thing I heard was the sound of Dato screaming out in pain, behind me.

I looked back to see that the six hefty men had pounced on him and were beating him!With wide eyes and fury I pushed the chest of the man standing in front of me, my push did nothing to move him physically or emotionally.

He stood there rigidly and just watched my face like he could read my every thought and emotions.

“Are you crazy?! What has Dato done to You!” I screamed at him and pushed him again, this time with more strength, he caught my fragile hands and dragged me with him.

The whole school turned into a day time uproar and everyone was murmuring and shouting their surprise and thoughts, nobody dared to go close to Dato or even try to help him, all his friends ran away. What's so scary about this man?.

Hot tears rushed out of my small eyes, as he dragged me behind him and away from my groaning Dato, I saw the tattoo on his lower hand and another one on his neck, moving down to his chest.

I couldn't help but admire the beauty of his smooth firm skin and the tattoos on it, his sky blue shirt and nude trouser syncing perfectly to his body and skin tone.

I forced myself out of my sinful thought, and noticed that we were almost close to his fleet of several cars, his bodyguards were already waiting for us there.

“Who are you?” i asked in curiosity, everyone including Dato seemed to know who he is, his presence alone changed the atmosphere of the whole school.

He finally released my hand and led me to a black sleek Lamborghini; the latest model. Pushing me inside, he whispered into my right ear.
