The Elevator - chapter three "We're going to have to set up camp here tonight" Toby declared, all of them feeling extremely tired "I really hope we find her" Indigo said flatly, her eyes felt heavy from tiredness, "We will," Jacob replied still believing they would find her complaining somewhere. "Yeh' then we can have the talk about disappearing like that and how rude it is" Toby joked. Indigo smiled at him lightly. They all sat themselves down and hoped they were well hidden away from the predators, the last thing they wanted to meet tonight was the raptors. They sat together quietly, exhausted from all the walking they had done. "It's best we continue to stay as quiet as we can, this is the time the raptors will be out on the prowl." "Great...their supposed to have been really gentle things" Indigo sarcastically whispered "With super hearing" Toby remembered. "Yeh' they hunt in packs too" Jacob reminded them "Is this a bad time to remind everyone of that dinosaur film" Toby teased "You just did, now I'm scared" Indigo answered unimpressed. "We'll be ok" Jacob tried to reassure her. "Do you think Silver's going to be ok through the night?" Indigo asked them "If they haven't eaten her already, then I hope she remembers what period of time this is" Toby replied, the noises in the forest sounded very different at night to the ones they were used too, every noise they heard made them listen even more carefully, just incase it was a predator they hoped not to see. Silver jumped at every noise she could hear, trying to remain as quiet as she could, remembering she was in a forest with a load of dinosaurs on the loose. She kept remembering what Jacob had teased her about and she was determined to prove them all wrong. She just hoped they would come and get her, she didn't truly believe they would just leave her here, although it was starting to feel a little bit like it. "Where are you guys" she thought to herself, not wanting to make a noise herself as she kept hearing a strange screeching noise around her, she was scared to move from where she was, in case what ever was making that noise spotted her. She turned over gently on the log she had decided to use as her make do bed for the night. The loud screech came suddenly right behind her, she held her breath and froze where she was when a huge Triceratops walked beside her, Silver started to shake with fear, hoping it didn't notice her, unfortunately she couldn't remember what dinosaurs were herbivores and which ones weren't, apart from the T-rex which was a carnivore, so every dinosaur was a threat to her until she knew otherwise. His big head with huge horns on his face turned to look at her, Silver panicked and closed her eyes her body tensing in fear, she felt the dinosaur sniffing her, its warm breath over her face, frozen she kept her eyes shut, her mind was repeating, "No, No, go away...please don't eat me" the mammal made a loud screeching noise next to her, she debated whether she should run or stay where she was, not sure she could move even if her instincts were to do so. When it finally walked away from her slowly, she sighed gently, her heart pounding in her chest. "That wasn't so bad" her mind said gently to her. She smiled to herself grateful that hadn't gone the wrong way. "We made it through the night" Indigo stated happily. "Gets pretty noisy in here of a night though" Toby replied. "Does, doesn't it" Jacob agreed, still tired as he hadn't really slept very well, not like the other two did. It didn't take them long before they started travelling again. "I really hope this is the right direction." Toby let them know "We can only hope so" Indigo replied. "I guess not many people can say they camped in a forest with dinosaurs" she added thinking out loud. "No-one will believe that." Toby reminded her "No I know, but at least I have you guys that know its true" she answered "Maybe we should just keep that between the four of us" Jacob suggested. "Yeh' I think that would be wise" Toby found himself agreeing, "Besides we still have to find Silver and then the mystery gate, we could honestly be stuck here for ages" he added "What if we never find either?" "No, don't think like that we will find both," Jacob stated, he was a person who refused to give up on anything, if it could be done it would be done whether it took him a long time or not. He refused to admit defeat at anything and when he did he never took it very well at all. The Elevator - chapter four Silver woke up feeling extra tired as after that dinosaur she had decided to sleep in between the monkey puzzle plants well camouflaged away from any of the dinosaurs, just hadn't been very comfortable, between that, the noises she was hearing all night and the thought of the dinosaur coming back, she hadn't really gotten much sleep at all. As she climbed out of the monkey puzzle plants she tapped her self down removing soil, bugs and whatever else had stuck to her clothing. "Do I wait here or do I go in search of this invisible gate" she asked herself, she looked around her wondering which way she would go if she did decide to look for the gate way, "What if they come through the gate today?" She asked herself, there were so many questions and no one to answer them for her. She walked back to the log she had spent her time on yesterday, she sat herself down for a moment, when a thought came into her mind, "What if the gates over there? That's where I came into this world." She walked over to the zone she had first walked in and walked around the whole area she was in to try and find the gate. With no luck she huffed and walked back to the log, "Was worth a try" she thought to herself as she sat down. "They will come for me" she thought to herself, "They wouldn't just leave me here" she added They had all been friends for quite a few years now and she knew them all pretty well, so she knew they would if they could. She frowned for a moment, "What if they can't?" She sighed at the thoughts of her having to live in this world because she couldn't find the gateway back. She put her hand to her head and shook it. "No , they will be here or I will have to find this gate on my own" "Ssssh stay where you are" Jacob whispered as just a head of them was a t-rex with some little ones, obviously her babies. "Nooo body move" he added as he slowly ducked down into the ferns making himself as low as possible, the other two slowly copied him. "What is it?" Toby asked him also whispering as they heard a thud and the floor shook a little underneath them, making Indigo lose her footing and fell on to her bottom. "Ouch" she gasped "RAWR" the dinosaur roared, they all froze, the dinosaur moved forward again making the floor shake again. Jacob looked to the side of him and waved his arm indicating for them to follow him, they crawled in the direction of a fallen down tree, they all hid themselves under it, hoping the dinosaurs wouldn't find them. Jacob kept having a look around every now and then to keep a look out, it just seemed as though they were going in the direction they had just come from, watching the dinosaurs together it reminded him of a human family, where the parent was just taking the kids out on a little adventure. He smiled a little at the thought and even though his heart was racing he couldn't help but admire the strange view, it would be great to have boasted about it while at work, but he knew no one would believe it. "If we go that way slowly, we should be ok" he told them, Leading the way. "I can't even walk anywhere" Silver thought she looked down at her feet that were going through it with the twigs as it was. "Why did I have to break my shoes" she thought to herself shaking her head. She looked around the part of the forest she could see, debating going further again, but soon talked herself out of it. "I need to find that gate" she thought to herself. She felt bored where she was, but at the same time she was scared to go anywhere in case her friends arrived to save her and in case she ran into another dinosaur. "Oh, what to do? What to do?" She pondered. "Why me? Why did it drag me back here? Jacob would have been able to find his way back within an hour or so, but no you had to drag me in here didn't ya?" She complained out loud, feeling sorry for herself. She frowned at the thought of being trapped here forever and was starting to play on her mind, this was the last thing she wanted. She spotted something jumping around by her feet, it was the cutest little dinosaur she had ever seen, "Aww hello little guy" she said softly, Its big brown eyes focused on her for a moment, she couldn't help smiling at the little creature as its cuteness had pulled her in, "Are you lost too?" She asked him, she couldn't help noticing it was the size of a chicken, it had strong looking arms with a single claw on each hand and long running legs and was a brawny weight, she hadn't expected to see such a beautiful creature in this forest. She was still taken in by its cuteness until it pecked at her foot. "Oww" she groaned, "That wasn't friendly" she said in a cross voice she moved her foot up on to the log afraid he would bite her again. "I hate this forest" she complained. The little Shuvuuia dinosaur was now trying to jump up at her with no success. "Go away" Silver muttered, "I thought you would have been nice." She added. Not enjoying any part of being stuck in the forest.
