The Elevator -Part Fourteen

Chapter Seventeen Indigo's knowledge of Prince Arthur was nowhere near as good as it was on Merlin, she knew he was a great warrior, who loved his people and wanted to give his all to them. The weapon he is well known for having is excalibur the sword, some stories say he was given it from the lady in the lake called Vivian and other stories say he had to pull the sword from a stone, which he was supposed to have done as a young child, where he went out on a mission to find a new sword for his brother, as he had broken his brothers. Once he became King he knighted Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain and Sir Galahad were his main three knights out of the twelve of the round table. He took part in tournaments with Kings from Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Prince Arthur became a well known legend from the 12th century and was one of the nine worthies, he married a lady who went by the name Gwenevere who ended up betraying him by having an affair with his closest friend and Knight Sir Lancelot. It is known that Prince Arthur died in the last battle of Camlann, which wasn't taken lightly by anyone as he was truly missed. Until now no one knew if Prince Arthur really existed or whether he was truly just a myth, but now Indigo knew they all truly existed which made Indigo love it all the more. Indigo sat herself down under the willow tree by the huge duck pond, quietly watching the ducks behave as they normally would happily, she smiled as she watched them bobbing up and down in the water, something about sitting there watching her and all her worries disappear for a little while. Something she hadn't been able to do on her own for a little while now. "Thought you would be here" A voice said from the side of her, she turned to see Merlin standing there, "You mean you had a vision so you knew I was here" She teased, he smiled "Yeah, that's exactly what I meant" He admitted, "Feels weird having someone who knows about me" He admitted, she gave him a warm smile to let him know his secret was very safe with her. "Are we any closer to getting to where we're supposed to be?" She asked him gently "There could be away its just finding the object, a well worked out location a verse said by me and then hopefully we'll have you in an era your meant to be rather than somewhere your not meant to be. Your idea of me closing this gate to prevent it from happening ever again isn't fair fetched not at all, I just have to work out the spell, which is the hard part, said in any way wrong we could have you somewhere else." He pointed out. "I think Silver would have a fit if that was to happen" She told him, knowing her friend well. "I don't really know her, but I imagine you're right" "Thank you for trying to help us though, my friends and me we do really appreciate your help but I'm guessing you know that already too, don't you" She said She rejoined her friends not long after seeing Merlin, after spending what felt like a good half an hour just talking to him about random things, like the weather, what his duties were for the King and the prince and she learned that he was only a year older than she was, yet felt so much wiser than any of them were, at the age of twenty-four. She couldn't deny she liked him, he was funny and very fast with comebacks, she could see why Prince Arthur seemed to like having him around, she had seen them together a couple of times and they seemed like really good friends, although she knew they would grow to be if they weren't now, she could already see the friendship forming. "Where have you been all day?" Silver asked her "Just took some time out for some me time" She admitted, not thinking that was an unfair thing to want with her day, they didn't need to constantly be together while they were safe, did they? "We were starting to worry about you, thought you had gotten yourself back in the cells" Toby explained, Silver hugged her "Glad you never tho'" Her friend told her "Yeh' me too, i was with Merlin for a little while too, he was telling me he might have a way to get us back but has to work on a load of things first so we don't end up somewhere we don't want to end up, again. But he reckons it's not impossible to get us back which is great news, isn't it?" "Of course it is" Silver said, a smile spreading across her face "So why don't you look so happy about it?" Jacob asked her "I like it here, it feels like I belong here" she stated. "You don't though" Toby told her "I know, I dunno I just feel like this could be home to me, both Merlin and Prince Arthur are amazing and so welcoming, I guess I just really am loving every second of being here" "I felt like that with Robin too, but this isn't our era" Toby told her, "As fun as this is and defiantly an experience I shall never ever forget for as long as I shall live, we still don't belong here and we can't change history anymore than we probably are already." he added "I know, I do know that, I guess I just won't be as happy as you guys will be" she pointed out "You still have to come back with us" Silver stated, Indigo nodded knowing that, that was true. She took a deep breath and frowned, "Guess we will just have to make the most of the time we do have living here" She said.
