THE KINGDOM OF ELDORIA

1373 Words
Eldoria was a mighty empire that existed three hundred years before the new age began. It was a land of strength, honour, and pride. The people referred to it as the Heart of the World because no other kingdom could match its beauty or strength. Eldoria was divided into four major districts: the capital, east, north, and south. They merged to become one large kingdom, controlled by King Lucarion, a wise and powerful monarch beloved by his people but dreaded by his foes. Eldoria's capital was its heart and soul. It served as the king's seat as well as the residences of nobles, priests, and generals. Its great marble buildings reached the sky, its streets were lined with white stones that sparkled in the sunlight, and the air was filled with the aroma of lovely flowers and burning incense. The Capital had no governor, it was directly ruled by the king himself. From his great palace, King Lucarion watched over his empire and guided his people with firm but fair hands. The remaining three districts all had governors each chosen by the king to lead with loyalty and wisdom. The East District was abundant with farmlands and waterways. The inhabitants of the East were farmers and merchants. They were friendly and hardworking, growing crops for the entire empire. Their lands were tranquil and green, but when war broke out, their men were swift and cunning, masters of light armor and quick strikes. The North District was a country of ice, iron, and mountains. Life there was tough and cold, but the inhabitants were strong and fearless. They mined the steel used to create Eldoria's weapons, and their soldiers were the most powerful in the kingdom. The Iron Guard, as they were known, stood like unbreakable walls in battle. The South District lay by the sea. Its air was warm, its markets were filled with merchants, and its ships sailed far across the waters to trade with distant lands. The South people were brave sailors and skilled fighters, their navy unmatched across the known world. Their army fought with unity and precision, and their wealth brought great fortune to the empire. Each district had its own army and commander, trained to defend their lands and serve their king. But above them all was one man , the Superior Commander General, a mighty warrior from the Capital named Aquinious. General Aquinious was known throughout Eldoria and beyond. He was the king’s most trusted soldier, the shield of the empire. It was said that he had never lost a battle. His voice alone could command thousands, and his sword had ended more wars than any general before him. Under his leadership, Eldoria’s armies had grown strong, united, and feared across all lands. But Eldoria’s greatness was not only built on war. It was also a land of faith. The people believed deeply in three goddesses , the Goddess of War, the Goddess of Love, and the Goddess of Fertility. Together, they were known as the Three Sisters of Heaven, the divine protectors of Eldoria. Every year, at the middle and end of the calendar, the people celebrated these goddesses at the OVO Arena, a grand stone circle that stood in the heart of the Capital. The arena could hold tens of thousands of people and was the pride of the empire. During these celebrations, the people brought gifts and sacrifices to honor the goddesses. The air was filled with the sound of drums, horns, and singing. Incense burned in golden bowls, and the smell of flowers and wine filled the streets. The priests led prayers, blessing the people, the king, and the armies. But the most awaited part of the festival was the Great Arena Battle. Each of the four districts brought four fighters ,sixteen in total. These men and women were champions, chosen for their strength, courage, and skill. They came to the Capital as heroes, representing the pride of their people. When the festival reached its peak, the gates of the OVO Arena opened, and the fighters entered the sandy field. The crowd roared with excitement as the horn sounded. Then, the fight began. There were no allies, no mercy, and no retreat. The warriors fought to the death before the eyes of the people and the blessings of the goddesses. Blood covered the sand, and the crowd cheered louder with every strike. The people believed the goddesses watched from above, guiding the hands of those who fought with true spirit. When the last fighter stood alive, his district was declared the victor. The winning district received a great reward of silver, given by King Lucarion himself. The surviving fighter was showered with gold, land, and glory. They were lifted high as heroes , their names remembered in songs, their statues built at the gates of their districts. To the people, these battles were not just fights. They were sacred offerings , a gift of blood and courage to honor the gods who watched over Eldoria. Within its walls, Eldoria was a paradise. Its cities were clean and bright, its people proud and joyful. Music echoed through the streets at night, and the air was sweet with the smell of roasted food and wine. Children ran through gardens, and merchants filled the markets with color and noise. There was peace, laughter, and love. But outside its borders, the world was full of danger. Eldoria was surrounded by smaller kingdoms, jealous of its power and wealth. Many had tried to invade, but none had succeeded. Every time an enemy army marched, General Aquinious and his soldiers met them on the field and crushed them. Eldoria kept expanding, taking more land, more resources, and more glory for its king. Under King Lucarion, the empire became larger and richer than ever before. But power always draws rivals. Beyond the great western mountains lay another mighty kingdom , Avalon. Avalon was the only empire that could match Eldoria’s strength. Its armies were vast, its cities grand, its people proud. For many years, Avalon and Eldoria had kept an uneasy peace. They traded goods, exchanged messengers, and shared polite words, but neither trusted the other. Between their lands stretched a wide valley ,green, rich, and full of rivers. Both kingdoms claimed it. Both said it belonged to them. It was a land worth dying for, and many small battles had already been fought there. The kings of both realms knew that if war ever began between them, it would be the greatest war in history. Hundreds of thousands would die, cities would burn, and the world itself would tremble. And so, they tried to delay what both sides feared was inevitable. To keep peace, King Lucarion of Eldoria and King Varian of Avalon made an agreement , a sacred promise. They decided that one day, one of Lucarion’s children would marry one of Varian’s. Through marriage, the two empires would be bound by blood, and the threat of war would be turned into peace. The people rejoiced when the promise was made. The priests blessed it, calling it the will of the goddesses. Markets were filled with celebration, songs were sung across both lands, and for a time, peace truly returned. But deep inside, both kings knew the truth. Peace built on fear does not last. Though the promise brought calm, the armies of both kingdoms never stopped training. The forges in the North still burned day and night, and the soldiers in Avalon still sharpened their swords. Scouts watched the borders, and spies whispered in shadows. The people prayed to the goddesses to keep peace forever, but the winds carried the smell of steel. The ground itself seemed to know that one day soon, war would come again. And when it finally comes, it would not be small or quick. It would be a war that would change both kingdoms forever. For now, though, Eldoria stood proud shining like gold under the sun, the jewel of the world. Its banners waved high, its temples glowed in the night, and its king sat on the throne, watching over his people with pride. The world called Eldoria eternal. But even the strongest empires are built on the edge of destiny.
