After the "technical license" I thought I could enrol in the first higher technical institute but, unfortunately, I was struck by the famous "Gentile law" which prescribed the compulsory to attend a one-year preparatory course, with the obligatory study of Latin, before to be able to enrol in the first course of the technical commercial institute. Technical studies were lengthened by a year.
It took eight years, after elementary school, to graduate as an accountant.
