Chapter 13

1258 Words
Cameron and I had one last dinner date with Morten. It was a nice one. Then we had the whole day off the next day before we had to go back into work. Cameron was worried he might not have a job any longer due to the fact that he had disappeared. I called our boss and explained to him that Cameron had to be going away a few days due to a family emergency. That seemed to work out fine. He was happy with that. And decided to take Cameron back. Thankfully. Now we celebrated our love. And being engaged. I did post on my f*******: page that I got engaged. My parents were surprised because I had not let any family know that I had been dating at all this whole time. The thing was I knew Cameron could come or go at any time. Now that he was here to stay I could tell other people. I was ready to tell the world about Cameron and myself. ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ "What do you feel like doing tonight?" Cam asks me as snuggle on the couch together. His arm was draped around my shoulder, as I lean into his side feeling like I belonged there with him. "Nothing" I giggle. "Nothing? Normally you want to show me the world. Today nothing?" he laughs. He kisses my cheek. He holds my hand in his. "Nope. Nothing today. I want to stay here with you. All day in bed" I tease playfully as I lean in kissing him long and slow. "Mmmm, that sounds nice baby" he agrees with me. "I can't believe we are going to get married. Cam do you know what a wedding even is?" I wonder as I think to myself outloud. "I know some. I read on it. You marry the one you love. And I love you. I want to marry you" he declares. I giggle. "Babe, this means forever. For better or for worse. I get to wear a nice beautiful gown. You dress up looking handsome. Our friends join our side as our family watches. We say vows to one another promises to love each other forever. You really want to do all that with me? I am the first girl you ever dated" I point out to him. "I know what I want. I do not need someone else. I lived without you. In an uncertain world. I did not like it. It was scary. I can't go through my life without you" he says softly. "I need you by my side. I am ready forever with you" he promises me. He smiles. My heart flutters hearing his wonderful words to me. My heart is melting. I lean in kissing him on the lips. My hand on his cheek. He was such an amazing man. He was not a dream man. A comic. He was a man. Someone I grew to know. Someone I grew to love. I loved everything about this man. His heart. His smile. His way of loving me. All of it. ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ "What are you thinking about?" he wonders. He kisses me. "I kind of want to go out" I giggle. "Oh, what do you want to do?" he wonders. "How about we go buy a few bridal magazines. Get a meal. A blanket. We sit on the beach or the park and plan wedding plans? That is something I would love to do with you all day long Cam" I admit. He nods. "I can do that. I would love to" he agrees as he grins with a contagious joy. We get ready to head out. I grab a blanket to lay on the beach or at the park. We stop at the little grocery store by my place. We grab all the magazines they had on weddings. Then we grabbed some snacks and something to drink. We soon head over to the beach. Cameron lays out the blanket. We settle down on it. Sitting together. I sit near his side. We spread the magazines out to look over. Opening the snacks up to. Chatting away as seagulls enviously watch to see if we drop little parts of out snacks on the ground. We chat about what we could be happy with. He wants a wedding at the park or the beach where we hang out a lot. That made the place special. I agreed. So, then we planned on getting married in the spring when the weather was not so hot. And the weather might be nice out. Then we would maybe have paid everything off for the wedding if we were engaged for a year. ♫♪ְֱ ♥♫♪ְֱ "So, a spring wedding?" he asks me. I nod. "A spring wedding. How about May?" I ask him. "May what?" he asks me. I think. "May fourteenth. That was my beloved cats' birthday that I used to have. Kind of special day to me. How about it?" I ask him. "Sure. I just want to marry you. I would marry you tomorrow if you let me" he jokes. He smiles. I lean in closer to him. I grin. "I know you would" I tease as I ruffle his hair playfully. He kisses me. "You have made me the happiest man on this planet" he whispers softly. "What kind of ring do you want me to get you?" he asks me. "I don't care as long as it comes from you. And you pick it out" I tell him. "That makes it special" "Will your family wonder why I have no family at the wedding?" he worries. "I am your wife soon. And I will be your family. You are not alone in this. Who cares what they think. This is my choice. I am ready to become a wife" I declare. He kisses me. "I just worry for you" he admits. "No worries. We just found our way back to each other. Who cares what they say?" I point out. He nods then smiles. I get a message in my f*******: instant messenger from my mother. "Who is this Cameron guy you are going to marry? How come you never told us you were dating" she messaged me. I would answer her later. I turn my phone off. My focus was Cameron right now. "Jayla what is wrong?" he asks me with concern. "Nothing to worry over Cam. That was my mom. She was wondering who you are and why I had not told her I was dating. I did not tell anyone before was because I was scared to lose you. Now that we know you are staying here, I told them all on my public page. No secrets" I explain to him. "I get that. Was your mother mad at you?" he worries. "I do not want to come in between you" he worries. I shake my head. "No worries Cam. I can handle mom" I remind him. "I am a big girl. This is my life. I can marry you or move across the world if I want to. She has no say so in the matter" I point out to him. "Besides she is going to love you when she meets you. Love you like I do, she will see how happy you make me" "I hope so" Cam sigh. I hug him close. "I know so" I say softly as I look him in the eyes. He smiles finally. We lean in and share a sweet kiss. I smile as he kisses my lips while the sun was going down at the beach. Perfect way to end the perfect day.
