CHAPTER 1 – THE WEAK LUNA (Nyra’s POV) Wake up the blessed Luna, who has found favor in the sight of the Moon Goddess… the one deemed worthy to carry the Golden Son of the Moon. The voice echoed in my ears, soft, yet powerful, wrapping around me like a command I couldn’t ignore. My eyes fluttered open. At the edge of my bed stood a radiant figure, her presence bathing the room in a silvery glow. The light was not harsh, it was calm, divine… unmistakable. “The Moon Goddess.” My breath caught as I quickly rose, my heart pounding against my chest. I lowered my head in reverence. “Your humble servant greets you, Great Moon Goddess… what do I owe this visit?” My voice trembled despite my effort to remain composed. She spoke again, and her voice was no longer soft. It echoed, filling every corner of the room, sinking deep into my bones, and resonating deep within my soul. “You are blessed with a fruit that will change the fate of generations and I have found you worthy… and I will be with you in every step of this journey.” The air grew heavier, and the light intensified. I wanted to speak, to ask questions, to understand, but before I could even fully grasp her words, she disappeared suddenly, the light vanished, the darkness returned in silence. My eyes snapped open, my chest rose sharply as I gasped, I found myself and my body jerking slightly against my bed. Oh, it was just a dream… I exclaimed with my heart still racing, my body trembling… the echo of her voice still lingered in my ears as if I had not truly left that moment…. Deep inside me, I knew something was wrong, probably not wrong like pain or fear, Instead like silence, the kind that sits on your chest and refuses to move. I lay still on the bed, staring at the high stone ceiling above me. From the carvings of wolves to the moons which were meant to appear powerful and beautiful, representing the symbol of strength. But to me, they felt like eyes watching me I swallowed slowly and pushed myself up, ignoring the dull ache in my body. It wasn't new rather, nothing about pain was new to me as far as this Harzdawood is concerned, Not in this pack, not as their Luna. A bitter smile touched my lips, I stood up and walked toward the mirror, my reflection stared back at me, pale skin, tired eyes, lips that had forgotten how to smile. “LUNA” This word had always felt like a lie when it came to me. No wolf, no strength, not worthy, the weak Luna,” “the useless one,“"the Alpha’s biggest mistake,” That’s what they all saw when they looked at me. I had learned something important in this pack. If you don’t look at your pain, it hurts a little less. I dressed up in my royal wear covering the unseen sorrow I wore every day, prepared for another dish of laughter, because I am obviously treated like an outcast in my own pack… The moment I stepped out of my chambers, the whispers began. “They say she still hasn’t conceived…” “Of course she hasn’t, she's barely even a wolf.” “Why did Alpha Riven even marry her?” I exhaled slowly and looked away… though just a little, I kept walking with my head straight, heartbroken and back stiff. Every step felt heavier than the last, but I didn’t stop, I couldn’t, because if I did, I might crumble, and if I crumble, obviously They would enjoy it and make a jest of me. Shortly, I reached the healer’s quarters. It was the only place in the entire pack where the air didn’t feel suffocating. The old healer looked up the moment I entered. Her sharp eyes softened slightly. “Luna Nyra,” she said gently. “You’re here early today.” I nodded, clutching the edge of my sleeve. “I… I haven’t been feeling well.” For days now, my body has been heavy, tired, and different…This is strange..I said in confusion. She rose and studied me for a long moment before gesturing for me to sit. “Let me check you.” I obeyed silently. Her hands were warm as she examined me, her expression slowly changing from calm to confusion and to something else, an expression I couldn’t read. Immediately my heart began to pound. “Is something wrong?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. She didn’t answer instantly, Instead, she pulled back and looked at me properly. “Nyra…” she said slowly. “How long have you been feeling like this?” “A few days,” or maybe more,” I replied, Silence rested for some moment .. “You’re 2weeks pregnant,” she said.. The world stopped, I blinked and opened my mouth in shock, “I… what?”
