Back in Peaceful Valley . . .
Brooke and Debra nailed on the roof decking under the supervision of Zack. He and Lance had done most of the foundation and framing simply because Brooke didn’t have the skills. She was able to drive a few nails at the bottoms of the wall stud, but had to leave the rafters to the boys.
When she and Ronnie built their home along with Lance, Beka, and the others, the girls did what they could, but the men did most of the work. The ladies were more adept at keeping the guys fed and hydrated. This time Brooke wanted to do more of the work. After all, it was her idea in the first place, and she wanted to feel like she had a more significant part in the project.
