Summer woke up in the most irritating way possible.
She groaned in annoyance before standing up to pick up the phone that keeps on ringing since hell knows when.
"Summer from Alveros state speaking."
She is still sleepy and alright.
"...Hello?"
She blinked her eyes as she waited for someone to speak in the other line.
"Look.Its early in the morning and I'm still half asleep.I don't have the energy to spend for this kind of prank."
Irritation is visible in her voice and when she's about to hang up, a rough yet sweet voice appears.
"Summer..."
A woman in her Senior.Summer is aware of that.
"Yes, speaking.Uhm.How may I help you,M-Ma'am?"
It was very awkward for her since she doesn't know who's on the other line.
"Hi,sweety.I'm sorry for calling you this early but this is the only chance I have.I know this is too sudden but I'm your grandma.Im one of your dad's auntie.Im the only one left though."
She followed it with a genuine laugh.
Summer slightly gasped.
"G-Grandma? Grandma Stella is that you?!"
Summer squeal that made the elder laugh.
"I am so happy that you still remember me,my potato."
The conversation lasted for quite some time until both of them agreed to meet up.
Summer was grinning this morning And preparing herself to go on a trip or rather on her early summer vacation.
Her Grandma Stella didn't get to attend her parents funeral or to visit her due to her health reasons.She is already 87 years old but she assures Summer through a joke that she could still walk.
Summer let a deep sigh.
She thought that she was abandoned and no one will ever stay by her side and when she was about to accept her cruel fate she was given a shade of light that she greatly needed in her dark and lonely life.
She thought that her Grandma Stella was already gone since there's been no communication between them since she turned 14 and she's already 22 now.
Her parents also rarely mentioned her name as she didn't ask afraid that she may cause something.
But turns out that her health couldn't handle long trips since it was the year her Grandma's health starts to distort and she's in the countryside far from the city where she's at right now.
Her grandma also stated that there's no electricity in her house as she is living far from the village she lives in and that is so unfortunate.
But you know what? Summer likes those facts even more.
Summer prepared 1 suitcase and a 1 travel bag. She will be staying there for only 2 months and it's not like she needs everything,right?
