CHAPTER 47 The Mercedes pulled up at the entrance to the majestic house as the sun set that same evening. Wearily, Eric Weissenstein told the chauffeur to come around for him at ten the next morning and let himself in with his own key. As he unlocked the door to his apartments, switching on the lights, a sickly sweet smell met him. It diminished after he opened all the windows and replaced the towel and pillow under her head.
