CHAPTER 38 After a quick breakfast on the Wednesday, Kirsten and Mark set off to collect Fred at the hospital. They made their way up the two flights of stone steps and through the massive Gothic main entrance to a general reception area where a petite blonde nurse with a sunny personality took them under her wing and showed them into a waiting room, done out in antiseptic white.
