CHAPTER 9
Back in London, Mark gave Kirsten a run-down on his battle royal with Greenspan. He added some trimmings of his own, needless to say, proud of the small fortune he had squeezed out of GI, expecting her to be pleased. But Kirsten saw it differently. She loathed GI as much as he did, but him being fired shocked her.
On the one hand, lifting a couple of passwords had been a prank of sorts. Especially the thought of seeing old Charlie's face when they found out that his passwords had been used. But nothing would happen to him. He had tenure. Giving them the run-around had been a joke. She could live with that; she had done it for Mark. To help him. But the detective's report was something very different. She was mentioned in it. And she might be the next one to lose her job.
