Chapter 005

1077 Words
Daciana felt alive. She felt free. For the first time in her life, she felt like she had some control over things. She didn't have to submit herself to the bullying of the triplets anymore. She'll remain their mate for as long as possible and use this opportunity to repay them for everything they've done. "Something needs to be done." Hailey snapped just then, shaking her head repeatedly. "This... This witch can't be mated to the Royal triplets! It doesn't make sense, it just doesn't." Daciana smirked to herself, enjoying Hailey's misery a little too much. Meanwhile, the priestess remained indifferent, speaking with a loud voice that boomed around the hall. "The moon goddess makes no mistakes. I'll advise you to take your mate back to the palace so you all can get closer to each other." She turned her gaze to the triplets, her hands clutching her staff tightly. "Proximity will strengthen the mate bond and hopefully make you three–" "Strengthen?" Kellen scoffed just then, his voice burning with contempt. “I'd rather walk on hot coals than 'strengthen' anything with this wretch." Daciana rolled her eyes, folding her arms in front of her chest. "Well, please save me a front seat to see that, dear prince. Oh wait, I think calling you three 'dear mates' would be more appropriate." She smirked amusingly, milking the irritation Kellen and Axel got from her taunts. As for Alan... He seemed to be unshaken by the whole thing, gazing weirdly at Daciana with his usual distant and indifferent eyes. Hmm... It seems he'll be a harder nut to crack. No matter, she had all the time in the world. "Enough of this!" Suddenly, a deep, domineering voice boomed around the hall, causing all the murmurs from the crowd and the tantrums from the triplets to die down. Daciana gulped, instantly guessing who the voice belonged to and turning her gaze in its direction. The Alpha of the Fiery lake pack stood up from his throne, walking toward his sons and Daciana. His eyes scrutinized her closely, not showing any signs of emotions. "Just like the priestess said, the moon goddess makes no mistakes." He said calmly, ensuring his words were heard by everyone in the hall. "If this..." He paused, dimming his eyes at Daciana as if he was contemplating whether his next words were worth it. Daciana lowered her gaze, embarrassment surging through her under the scrutiny of the Alpha. After a few seconds, he continued. "... If this Omega is indeed the fated mate of my sons and the future Luna, then so be it. No one in this pack has any right to challenge the moon goddess' will. Not even me." Silent murmurs filled the hall but no one dared say anything rash in the presence of the Alpha. His words were law. 'This is going to be fun.' Daciana thought to herself, glancing at the triplets who glared daggers at her as if they wanted to tear her to shreds. ****** "This will be your new room." A maid gestured at a door once they all got back to the palace. Daciana felt flattered, a smile curling up her lips as she opened the door and stepped into the room. It was so luxurious, befitting for a princess. Or in this case... Befitting for the mate of three asshole Alpha sons. Ugh, being their mate was going to be a real hassle, but she was willing to take those odds. "Please, inform me if you need anything." The maid added, bowing slightly. "Also, your room is in the middle of the rooms assigned to the triplets. I hope you fit in perfectly, ma'am." Ma'am? Daciana swallowed, nodding her head as she watched the maid, who was probably close to her mother's age, exiting the room, locking the door behind her. As soon as she was left alone, she sighed, scanning her gaze around the room again. "This will be alright. For now, at least." She muttered, hopping on the bed and staring at the ceiling. She didn't plan to stay here forever anyway. Remaining mated to those brats for the rest of her life wasn't an option nor would it ever be. "Hold up." Daciana blurted, sitting up when she realized something. "Mom. Gosh, how will I get to see her now that I'm staying here at the palace?" Wait... Why was she bothering herself? She could make a plea to bring her mother into the palace or easily visit her now that she was no longer the personal maid of the triplets. Smiling satisfactorily at the thought, Daciana got up from the bed and headed toward the door. However, just when she opened it and was about to step out, she nearly fell back when she bumped into the sturdy chest of someone. "What the–" she raised her head only to meet the gazes of the triplets, all standing at her door like they were here to kidnap her. Kellen was the first to speak up after their short moment of silence. "So Father was being serious when he said he'll place you close to our rooms." Daciana kept her chin held high, nodding her head with a blank expression. "Yeah, unlike some people, the Alpha seems to be pretty decent. I'm surprised you three are related to him." She tilted her head, watching as Kellen's eyes twitched with anger. He raised his finger, pointing it at her face but before he could speak, Axel whistled. "Nice bed you've got there." He stretched his head into the room, a mischievous smirk curling up his lips. "It's big and looks extra comfy. Perfect for forcing erring little bitches who don't know their place into submission." By the moon! Daciana's face heated up with a blush as she snarled. "You pervert! I wouldn't be caught dead having anything s****l to do with you three." Axel scoffed, folding his arms in front of his chest and leaning disturbingly close to her ears. "Oh, but you're our mate, aren't you? And it will be your duty as our mate to... Service us in bed. I'm curious to see if an Omega will have any moves different from a normal wolf." A cold shiver went down Daciana's spine, her legs getting weak when Axel brought his right hand to her shoulder, tracing it up and leaving her breathless. What the heck was happening to her?!
