"How dare you say such things about my daughter in my presence?" Beta Dax snapped at Kellen but still managed to keep his expression calm.
But Daciana could notice the subtle twitching of his eyebrows and the way he glared at Kellen.
Meanwhile, Kellen scoffed and shook his head. "I only said the truth, Beta Dax. Your daughter is an awful person, and the sooner she becomes self-aware of that, the better for everyone."
Hailey placed her right hand in front of her mouth and seemed like she was about to cry but Kellen ignored her and dropped the napkin in his hands on the table.
However, before he could stand up and leave, Daciana held his hand, forcing him to turn his gaze to her.
