I take my seat next to Jannat and she gives me a once over as if she's staring at Willy Wonka's personal Oompa Loompa. I observe her, still panting. What're you looking at? Haven't you seen an out-of-shape-need-to-hit-the-gym-teenager before? I mean, going to Lakeview, you had to. It's impossible to avoid. "What the heck? Why are you out of breath? Your class is like three doors down. What'd you do, fall off of a cliff on the way here?" Might as well have. "I was—" Pant, pant. "Talking—" Pant. "To Agastya—" Gasp, gasp! I need oxygen! That's it; I'm going to die right here. "Wait." she looks flustered. "The Agastya? Like soccer? Captain? The guy all girls at least find attractive whether they're single or not? Uh, yeah, you're gonna need to explain pretty fast here. What'd he want?" She looks at me determined, with a hint of excitement. It's at times like this she will get the answer she wants or I'll find myself stuffed between a mailbox, unconscious. "I'm just giving him a ride home after school today. It's not a big—" I'm cut off by Jannat. For the freaking umpteenth time.
