Denial

After her much needed and much more appreciated bath, Fey put a call to her assistant, Eric, asking him to move her appointments for the next day a little because she would be arriving at the office a little later than usual. Then she remembered to say a silent thanks to herself for the break she gave to both her housekeeper and cook. Before they left, Mira was asking how many days she would take on her trip in order to know the size of bag she would pack for her boss, but Fey let her know that she wasn't going on a trip, which seemed strange to her employees as she had never asked them to take a break apart from their usual annual break and the occasional trips. It took quite a lot to convince them that she would be fine till they accepted because, after all, she was still their boss. After wearing skimpy sky blue shorts and a crop top in the same color, she headed downstairs, not forgetting the bottle of unfinished champagne and her glass. She took the candle path and as she got to the bottom step she saw that a new path had been created which led towards the dining room and she followed with a smile on her face. So low that only she could hear, she said; "A girl could get used to this." The sight on the table absolutely blew her breath away. If she had been joyful at the bath earlier, this even made her speechless. Kiki took her time in setting candles to light up the dishes in a way that made them look dreamy and the dishes themselves were indeed the work of a genius. Kiki doesn't look to be a lady who can cook, but who knows how many more special talents she had hidden from the knowledge of people who thought they had her all figured out. On the table were two plates of well-cooked lobsters garnished with rich vegetables for the main dish and the side dishes ranged from Chinese to Mexican and she couldn't help but salivate. The creator of such beauty herself was seated with wine sitting before her, silently watching as Fey admired each dish like they were some great pieces of art to be cherished rather than food to be eaten. "Sit and let's eat before the dishes go cold. It took quite a lot of time to make them for them to go to waste." "Oh no! On the contrary, even if they were as cold as ice, I would eat all of them. I'm so famished that nothing will be left of them." As they ate, or rather Fey ate because Kiki was watching her and picking on her food, Fey asked; "What would you like us to do after dinner?" Looking up, she saw that Kiki had barely touched her food. Torn between indecision to ask or not, considering that they were just having s*x and not really friends, curiosity won and she asked; "Are you okay, you are just picking on your food." "I'm okay. I'm not hungry." Fey shrugged and continued eating, deciding it was none of her business anyway. When they were done, they cleared the table together and Fey put up the question again of what they should do. " Could we just rather have s*x and go to bed?" Unsure of how to approach her without seeming forceful, Fey just led her up the stairs to her room, put her on the bed and told her to be comfortable while she did a few things. With that, she left the room to turn off all the candles to prevent a fire, but when she got to the room, Kiki was already asleep. Too tired herself, Fey joined her on the bed and in seconds dozed off. In a couple of hours, Fey woke up to ease herself, only to find that she was alone in bed. When she was done, she picked up her phone to call Kiki to ask why she left in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, she was in a fix as she didn't have a number to call. Shrugging, she climbed back into bed to sleep. Unbeknownst to her, Kiki was sitting in her office nursing a glass of wine and thinking about her life, day and a way out of her current dilemma with the foolish man who thinks himself to be brave. She thought back to her time at the zoo watching the lions. She had thought that the weak lion would lose the fight and maybe its life, but, maybe out of the passion to survive, or maybe, it was not a coward and wouldn't back off a challenge, it fought fiercely to live, be a hero or whatever was its motivation was. It paid off because it won and the stronger looking lion might come back another day to challenge him again, but it wouldn't try coming naïve nor would it underestimate its opponent anymore. Buoyed by that thought, she decided to take him up on his challenge. First thing in the morning, she would personally call her lawyer, not leave it to her assistant as she usually did. It was time for him to know just who he was taking on. Satisfied with that decision, she thought of her relationship with Fey, if it could be called that. On the one hand, she was insanely attracted to Fey, while on the other, she saw Fey as an opponent. Was it possible to keep both sides apart? Could they make it work? Was it worth considering? Sitting in her (Fey) office room right now with Fey's smell all over, Kiki was feeling sexy and knew Fey was the only one who could quench the raging fire in her. The attraction is so much that she feels overwhelmed and scared that it may consume her. Why not end it before it is too late? Going to give Fey one last look before leaving, seeing as it was three am, which was almost morning, Kiki found herself drawn to bed. Tempted, she tried to place a quick and short kiss on Fey's lips, but Fey chose that moment to smile in her sleep and, before she knew it, Kiki was already getting down on the bed to give her a proper kiss. One last time won't be bad, it would even give her something to hold on to. Slowly, Fey woke to the sweet feelings of being kissed and caressed all over her upper body. This dream felt so real but it couldn't be real, right? Kiki had already left. The feelings were intense that she had to fully wake up, but for the fact that her brain was in a puddle and had deserted her she couldn't think how it was possible that Kiki had returned or even why. Kissing Kiki back, passion for passion, need for need, they both started feverishly undressing each other. In seconds, they were both naked and soon it became lips to n****e and lips to neck with hands doing their own thing wherever and however they pleased, without minding and at speed, as they were afraid that what it was trying to reach for would be taken away sooner than expected and it would be left empty. They had a passionate time though with heavy hearts as each felt like they were about to loose something precious to them. Drawing apart, it felt like it was finally signed and sealed and they turned aside, each with her back to the other to spend the gloomy moment alone in their thoughts. Soon Fey sighed as she couldn't think of a way to convince Kiki that they had something real and needed to keep it for as long as it was there. They may not be in love, but they were two adults who could handle a relationship without their hearts getting involved and complicating things. Falling into a restless sleep, Kiki saw her opening when she heard Fey's steady breathing indicating her sleeping and stood up to wear her (Kiki) clothes. With a solemn look at the sleeping figure, she left and entered her car, driving off without a backward look. It was only when she got to her house that she shut the door and fell to the ground, leaving her emotions all out. She cried about losing it before it became hers, she cried about not being able to just let go and enjoy it, she cried about wishing it were under different circumstances. She cried because, even now, she still felt like going back. In Fey's arms she belonged, in her arms she found peace. With Fey, she knew that she would be safe. But it was too late now, she had lost it. When she was drained, she checked the time to see that it was past 7 am and she needed to get a quick start on her day to map out her strategy with her lawyer. Wiping her face, Kiki walked to her bathroom, showered, made up her face like nothing had happened, but especially to hide its gloomy appearance, dressed up and headed out.
