Duke is brought out of his musings by the knock on his door. Arising from the sudden urge to be careful, he looked through the peephole to see who it was at his door. He could recognize the officer whom he had made a complaint to with regards to Mylie but, the officer was not alone. Another person in a police uniform could be seen through the peephole. Duke took a step back to open the door and the officer he recognized asked if he and his partner could be let in. Somehow, Duke found he had no words to say even before the officer asked him to come in, so he stepped aside for the police partners to enter.
