My heart raced faster as I got to the leader's chamber.
The thought of having another look at his face sent chills down my spine. His one eye that is covered and several sword marks right under his eye left me in chills and cold shivers.
I didn't want to see him again and I wondered why he ordered for me at once. Just before I stepped in, Jerome pulled me back.
"Listen carefully, the leader detests when you hesitate in answering his questions. He also doesn't like to be lied to. Crystal has already informed him about the situation. Do not lie to him when he enquires. Let him know everything and plead for his mercy", he advised.
Jerome's words left a good feeling on me. I felt relaxed and my nerves were calmed. I could face the leader now.
