Before I could realize what was happening, a huge hand landed on Melvin's back and pulled him away.
Gina closed my mouth.
I would have shouted to stop them. But then, it was timely. I would have been caught as well.
We watched as Melvin was being dragged. A tall and hefty man with muscular arms turned around to face him.
The guard who bundled Melvin up pushed him to fall before the man's face. He was breathing heavily and I saw Melvin tremble.
"What have you done?" Gina muttered under her breath. I could only imagine what was going through her mind.
Will she expose me? Will they set me up? Cold shivers run down my spine.
"My Lord, I overheard Melvin telling our secrets to a woman", the guard said. I swallowed hard the saliva that gathered in my mouth.
