I was surprised when I opened my eyes to see Jerome kneeling beside me.
"Are you okay? Do you feel any pain?" Jerome enquired.
I coughed out water. Jerome carried me in his arms and rushed to his tent.
My heart melted as I felt his hands wrapped around me. It was what I had always yearned for.
Thankfully, the moon goddess answered my prayers. Just a single chance with Jerome. I will make sure I make him fall for me.
I closed my eyes firmly pretending not to be aware of what was going on around me.
Jerome placed me on his bed and covered me with his blanket.
As I inhaled his scent, I couldn't resist the urge to force open my eyes to see Jerome in action.
He sat beside me and adjusted the pillow under my head. "How do you feel now?" Jerome enquired.
