I fell flat on the floor, my belly directly on the ground.
Although my leg ached, I didn't pay much attention. The pain was excruciating but I tried to hold it all in.
Will I survive this? Will I remain alive after this horrible phase?
I thought to myself. "I will do anything that you want. Please, just spare my life. I can't die right now", I cried out.
I was pulled up to face Jerome. Before I could realise what was going on, I found myself on a bed when I opened my eyes.
"Get up, weakling. It's time to prepare for your first task", a female voice alighted from the door. I sat up holding my forehead as it ached badly.
