Tora left the car in the parkway as she walked to the main door. A pleasant electronic chime sounded to signify the door unlocking after she entered the passcode. Tora removed her heels on the doormat and stepped over the threshold. Although she was not tired, there was a sense of relief as she stepped into her home. Like always, she greeted her cat as she entered the house. "Khan, I'm home." The cat rarely replied or came to the door to greet her but it felt pleasant to say 'I'm home.' She slipped her feet into the indoor slippers and held her heels in her hands. Her eyes widened as she raised her head up.
