Chapter 16

2638 Words

The news was terrible; not only the deaths in London and Jerusalem but the fear of who was attacking. whoFortunately, or perhaps it was unfortunately – I wasn’t certain which – the world’s media were still talking ‘terrorists’, rather than ‘demons’. If Lilith let her demons attack in their natural form, I suspected things would be considerably worse, but Perrault assured me it was unlikely to happen. She was intent on keeping their true nature secret, and creating havoc and chaos was easy when you could morph into someone else – anyone else – to reach your latest target. The repercussions of this situation were only just beginning to sink in. A demon could transform himself into the President, for instance and attack the White House. Or disguise himself as the Pope to strike the Vatican.
