“It’s San Francisco.” I was slightly breathless when I skidded to a halt in front of Perrault, having finally managed to narrow down Lilith’s next target. Perrault frowned, dark eyebrows melding into a single arc above his eyes. “You are certain, demoiselle?” He twisted his arm to check his watch and the frown deepened. “Have you been divining at this time of night?” I checked my cell phone, discovering it was a little after three in the morning. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d slept, other than brief snatches in the armchair I’d requested Jademace bring up to the Hocus Pocus room.
