The Wrong Miss Ye

FIRST DAY AT WORK

Ye Sheyu yawned and sleepily rolled sideways on the bed, reaching out for her daughter only to realise to her shock that her side of the bed was empty.

Instantly gripped with fear, she hurried out of the bed and slipped her foot into her fluffy red slippers then ran outside.

“ Good morning, mummy, ” she was immediately greeted by her daughter's voice when she got out of the room and quickly run towards her.

Seeing that she was safe and sound, Ye Sheyu let out a relieved sigh.

“ You scared me, Zinxao! Why did you come out of the room without waking me up? ” she asked her daughter in a worried tone as she walked over to her and carried her.

“ But I wasn't alone, mummy. Aunt Weiwei was around, ” the little girl revealed, staring at her mother in a confused way and that was when Ye Sheyu suddenly remembered that there had been a third person in the house with them.

“ Oh, yeah, Xu Weiwei...! ” she exclaimed. “ I’ve even forgotten about her. Anyways, where is she now? ” she demanded as she carried her daughter down the stairs to the sitting room.

“ Eh, she actually left a while ago, but she made breakfast for us, ” Ye Zinxao happily revealed.

Hearing that, Ye Sheyu turned towards the kitchen and upon getting there, her eyes fell on the wall clock and she suddenly let out a loud scream, “ Jeez, I'm almost late, ” she cried out in panic and placed her daughter down.

How could she have slept too deep like that?

She didn't even know when she slept off.

“ You can go, freshen up, mummy, I'll help you pack some of the sandwiches aunt Wei made for us, ” Ye Zinxao ordered in her tiny voice and her mom smiled at her lovingly.

After giving her a light kiss on the forehead, she immediately rushed upstairs to prepare for work.

The moment her mother was gone, the little girl walked over to the kitchen cabinet and grabbed a container, she then took a tissue and neatly packed the sandwiches inside.

Before Ye Sheyu could finish dressing up and come downstairs, Ye Zinxao had already packed the sandwiches into the container and had carefully covered it with the lid, while she patiently waited for her mother.

When she finally showed up, she quickly approached her with the container container the sandwich.

“ Here you go, mom..., ” she said, handing over the food container to her mom who gave her a kiss on the cheek in return. “ You can leave now so you don’t run late, mummy and don’t worry about me because I already called aunty Weiwei to come babysit me, ” she revealed and Ye Sheyu sighed.

How could she have forgotten about her daughter?

She felt bad knowing she had been neglecting her duties as a mother recently but she promised herself that immediately she gets settled at her new work place, she was going to be there for her daughter no matter what.

“ I'm really sorry for being too busy these days, sweetheart. I hope you'll understand and forgive mummy for not being with you? ”

“ It's okay, mummy, ” the little girl replied assuringly. “ You're actually the best mom ever and I love you, ” she remarked, flashing her mother a bright smile while showing her white sets of teeth.

“ I love you too, ” Ye Sheyu also stated, and poked the little girl’s nose playfully, making her giggle.

At that moment, the door suddenly opened and Xu Weiwei walked in.

“ I’m really sorry for keeping you waiting, miss Ye, ” she quickly apologised as she got to the mother and daughter and immediately hugged the little girl.

“ I should be the one saying sorry for bothering you, ” Ye Sheyu uttered.

“ Zinxao is a real darling, miss Ye so it’s certainly not a worry for me babysitting her. Don’t even worry about work, I have a day off today, but I've already gone over to the company to arrange everything for you so that you won't have any problems on your first day, ” Xu Weiwei explained and flashed Ye Sheyu a smile when she noticed the look of gratitude on her face. “ And oh, I noticed you didn’t own a car so I brought you mine so that you could use for the time being, ” she added, stopping Ye Sheyu right in her track.

She spun around.

“ You did what...? ” she demanded, her eyes widened in shock.

“ I brought you my car for you to use, ” Xu Weiwei said, repeating her words.

Ye sheyu let out a long deep breath.

“ You know you shouldn't have done that, right. ”

“ It's actually really hard to get commercial cars around here, miss Ye and being this late, I wouldn't reject this if I were you. ”

Finally getting her point, Ye Sheyu raised her hands as a sign of defeat.

“ Alright... alright, I give up, but do know that I owe you one, ” she stated before taking the car key from her assistant.

Bending over, she gave her daughter another kiss on the forehead and then walked out.

As she got into the car, she activated her goggle map and began to follow the direction being giving her.

At around eight thirty am, Ye Sheyu finally saw herself in front of the Teng Fashion Company’s parking lot and slowly drove into one of the spots and parked the car, then she got out and suddenly walked towards the entrance of the building.

Immediately she was inside the building, Ye Sheyu suddenly felt everyone's gaze directed at her and began to feel a bit uneasy.

How she wished Xu Weiwei was with her!

“ Hello, everyone, Good morning...! ” she warmly greeted them and huffed when they all ignored her.

Feeling quite embarrassed, she hurried off into the elevator upon the directions her assistant had given her and quickly punched in number four.

As she waited to be taken to the fourth floor, Ye Sheyu prayed silently to God, asking him to make her day much better than it has started.
