25 The In-Between
Randall tried to get a data signal, but there was nothing. The vegetation wasn't familiar either. The skyline wasn't recognizable, too.
Rory's wings unfurled and he flew up into the sky to look around. He flew in a circle looking for others and landmarks of any kind. There was nothing that stood out that resembled earth. Rory needed to find out where they were.
Maeve ran to Rory, where he landed, yelling, "What did you find? Anything?''
Rory shook his head no, and Maeve's complexion grew pale. "No..." Rory embraced his wife, "my dear, I believe we are in The In-between."
Randall approached him, "Rory, I fear, I must agree, Sir."
Maeve sighed heavily, melting into Rory's embrace, "So this place was not a myth? There's no way out and no one to find us."
