Chapter 28 – Jess gets sick again.

POV
Today I get to go home and I’m so excited. I’ve had a lot of time to think, I may have overreacting. Damon had no control over what that woman has done. I’ve seen the guilt he carries with him. Damon wouldn’t hurt a fly. But whatever she told Damon has changed something in him, he has been withdrawn and he goes into his own mind, it takes me calling him for a few minutes to get through to him.
It is taking everything in me not to shake him and ask what the hell is going on with him. The looks Beck and Axe gives him tells me they know what happened, but I know they will never tell me.
“Hey Jessy, you ready to get out of this hell hole?” Axel asks
I smile. “You have no idea.” He helps me get off the bed.
We walk out of the room;
