Chapter 16 Sunday, April 10th LindsayI stared at the calendar on the wall next to the old lime green fridge. My head pounded from the night before. The band played until two o'clock in the morning and the cowboys were rambunctious. My feet swelled and my back ached from the night. I stretched my arms overhead and arched my back like a cat. I closed my eyes and rolled my head back and forth to loosen the knots in my neck. Red ink circled the days on the calendar until the big star on April 18th. Today was day six of trying to find a man. I had three more dates left to try to find a husband plus whatever I was doing with Kurt this afternoon. Eight days left for me to find a husband to share the ranch and the rest of my life. Pulling open the door, I reached for the carton of orange juice.
