Chapter 15 Saturday, April 9th LindsayIt had been five days since I told Mr. Philips I wanted to keep the ranch. I had four dates, each with a different man. Well, not all dates. The one at Cowboy's bar, one coffee in San Antonio, breakfast at Susie's on my day off with one of Old George's cowboys, and a coffee with Mike from Mike's Auto here in town when he picked me up this morning to get my car fixed. Except for Mike, the dates were dreadful. They were too boring, not interested in country life, or only wanted a hookup. I wasn't even sure the drink with Mike was a date, but I was counting it.
