The music boomed. Boots stomped around in the sawdust-covered dance floor. People clapped and turned to the music. I lifted the tray of drinks high in the air and I squeezed between people pressed together.
"A rum and coke and two beers." I set the drinks down at the booth in the corner. "What brings y’all out?" I wiped the sweat from my brow and placed my hands on my hips.
