8. She's just ungrateful

1500 Words
Fang’s POV "Ungrateful? Are you real right now?” she asked, clearly mad, she was glaring at me, her eyes full of hate and anger. “What should I be grateful for? Should I be grateful he killed my father? Should I be grateful he made me and my mother pariahs in our own pack? Or should I be grateful he caused my mother to suffer a slow and painful death? No, I'm sure you mean I should be grateful that so far he has done nothing to force me into his bed." "You can't seriously blame my father for what happened to your mother. She was weak, she was sick and an embarrassment to our Pack," both she and her mother had always been a problem in our Pack, and I just couldn’t understand why my father hadn’t just exiled them. "You would also be weak if your Alpha forbade you from shifting. Your father is a monster and I can't wait until I have a chance to reject him as my Alpha and leave all of you behind. I won't stay here more than I need to," she was almost screaming, lying and being way disrespectful, and I felt the need to teach her a lesson. "Why would he forbid your mother from shifting?" Ax asked, horrified. "What did she do?" Only the worst of crimes were punished by something so drastic, it was a punishment that only lasted a short time, for a shifter without his animal would die sooner or later.  "She refused to sleep with the Alpha, that was her crime" she accused, without missing a beat. "Those are serious accusations," Ax said, standing up. "She is lying," I said, "take it back. Tell them you were lying,” I couldn’t let her accuse my father of something so heinous. "Or what? Are you going to hit me?" she mocked, even taking a step closer to me. "How would that be any different from any other day in my life? I'm used to you and your siblings using me as a punching bag, you can't intimidate me like that." I could tell she was provoking me. What was she planning? Did she want to make me look bad in front of my guests? My father’s words came back to me, he had told me over and over how she needed to be educated, how she needed to be shown her place. Before I even noticed what I was doing, I had punched her in the face. She fell down, hitting the ground hard. All of my guests got out of their seats, Rachel went to aid Melissa while the others moved between us, blocking my way, but Finn and Fiona had noticed what was going on, and not willing to let go the chance to attack, they had moved to kick Melissa. "Why did you do that?" s***h asked me, a little angry at me. "She was talking s**t about my father, and talking back to me, disrespecting me. This is why trash like her shouldn't be allowed to talk." "Yeah, she is totally lying," Fiona said, "every woman in this pack wishes she could be with my father, he doesn't need to force anyone to be with him." "I knew you were stupid," she said from behind Rage, "but I never imagined how much. You really think it's a coincidence that young, beautiful, unmated women are always assigned the worst jobs in the pack while your father's w****s never lift a finger around here? Every woman here knows that if she refuses to sleep with the Alpha she will have to pay for it one way or another, hard work is usually the penalty." "You are lying," I roared, angry she was making me and my Pack look bad in front of our guests, "or you are inventing things based on lies told to you." "You can think whatever you want, you won't be my problem in a few hours, I will finally be able to escape this awful place." "You are stupid," Fiona said, "you will die as soon as you leave this place, you can't even defend yourself against people younger than you, how do you expect to survive?" "Just because your father forbid me from fighting back against you, doesn't mean I can't." "Just wait a moment," Rage interrupted, "are you saying that your mother was forbidden from shifting for refusing to sleep with the Alpha and that you were forbidden from fighting back his daughter?" "Or any of his brats. The Alpha wants them to feel special, so no one in the pack can fight back when they decide to beat someone up. Most just follow their orders and do what they want to avoid their attention, but I never liked to bow my head to bullies, so they beat me up instead of leaving me alone,” she accused, most likely feeling brave not that she could hide behind someone bigger and stronger than her. “That’s bullshit, as if a lowly omega like her could even pretend to fight back someone with alpha blood," I said, trying to prove she was lying.  “Wait a minute,” Ax said, confused, “you think she is an omega?” “Of course she is an omega,” Finn said, “what else could she be?” “Well, she smells like an alpha,” s***h said, moving closer to her an inhaling deep, “definitely an alpha.” “That’s totally ridiculous,” Fiona said. I’m an alpha, she is a nobody.” “Actually, you smell like a beta,” s***h said, mocking my sister. “If she was an omega, she wouldn’t be able to look you in the eyes, and she is glaring pretty hard at you,” Rage pointed out. “That’s because she is not properly trained,” Finn replied, looking at Fiona, who had gone completely still at s***h’s words. “An omega doesn’t need to be trained, it’s in their nature to be submissive and avoid eye contact with any person above their ranks. If anything, they had to be trained to speak up and look into your eyes, not the other way around,” Rachel said. "What's going on here?" my father asked. I hadn’t realized it, but almost everyone in the Pack House had gathered around us and were watching our exchange. "That girl," Fiona said, "I think she finally cracked. She's talking about leaving the pack and other nonsense." "She won't leave," dad said, "she can't. There's no place for you out there," he told her. "As appealing as a dog bed in the kitchen's floor sounds, I think I can find something better on my own," Melissa talked back, and I noticed something I had never noticed before.  They were right, she was glaring at the Alpha, looking at him with so much hate that if looks could kill, he would already be dead, something an omega shouldn't be able to do. I couldn’t understand what was going on. "I already told you that you don't have to stay there," he started, "you can share my bed," he added with a smirk and a leer, confirming everything she had been saying. "So is true you are coercing the women in your pack to sleep with you?" Rage asked, the growl back in his voice. "Mind who you growl to, kid. This is my pack and I do what I want in it. You are my son's guest, so I will let this one slide, but show more respect the next time you address me." "There is a law, no woman can be forced into s*x, no matter who you are." Ax said. "I don't have to force anyone boy, I'm an Alpha, every woman wants a chance to be with me. The fact that my females have an easier life than the rest of them may be another incentive, but it's not the only one.  I'm making her an offer to improve her life, it's her choice to take it or not.  Now, I have work to do, stop messing with things you don’t understand." "Your father is a prick," John said once my father couldn’t hear, which only made me angrier. "You don't understand, that girl is crazy, my father has enough females to keep him busy, he doesn’t need any dirty tricks to get them,” I looked around but didn’t find Melissa, she was gone after causing all this trouble. I had a lot of damage control to do, and that only made me more eager to punish her once I got my hands on her, that if my siblings didn’t beat me to it.
