EPISODE 11 pt.2: SECRET ROMANCE NO MORE

1405 Words
After the frightening call from who they call Black Cat, Heaven hasn’t felt so comfortable at the moment, making him step away from the area to breathe properly. “Hey bro…” he said to Steve who has been seated quietly for some time now. He’s silently looking out of nowhere as he starts biting his nails. But as soon as his attention was caught by Heaven, he blinks thrice, getting back to reality. “Y-yeah?” “If someone asks where I am, just tell them ill be by the Science park.” “S-sure” Steven responded, still stuttering. Heaven stares at his eyes for a second, trying to analyze what has gotten into him. “Are you okay?” “H-huh? Y-yes I am o-okay..” “Are you okay?” Before Steve could even reply, his phone starts to vibrate, indicating that someone is trying to contact him. Both of them were silenced by the ringtone and before the silence gets awkwardly prolonged, Steve stood up and look at his phone screen. Heaven waited for a second before Steve decides to talk. “It is my mom… I-I’m sorry I should-” “Yeah, you should answer the call.” Steven nodded as he steps away a bit just to have a private conversation with his mom. That made him a bit suspicious. I shouldn’t doubt my classmates. He said to himself as he started shrugging the thought off, walking away to the area and approaching the science park. The silence is pretty occupied by loneliness and silence when he goes there. The statues built with the face of the great scientist of the history were there, their historical backgrounds as well. They were all painted in golden, making it shine when the sun rays hit them. There were wooden benches that weren’t repainted, just woods that starts to give up probably in an estimated ten users. The big flat stones that were supposed to be paths to avoid stepping on the grass are already unorganized. Some are missing and some are near to each other, some are already a meter away from the tracks of the path. Some leaves were left uncleaned for approximately three days now. He sighed to see how imperfect the place is but the vibe it gives him is great- an assurance that no one can never be perfect. Not even the killer’s plan would be perfectly in place. He said to himself as he decided to sit under an oak tree. Lucky for him, there’s a small bench there. He covers his face with his palm, wanting to calm and think of positive thoughts that would make him feel at ease, even if it is just for the meantime. But just as he expected about candies and fluffy unicorns would pop out of the darkness to lighten him up, it was the total opposite; the head of Lee as eyes were wide open with a sign of fright, the blood that covered it, the smell that almost made his stomach turns, the mystery calls, and the look on Steven’s face is what he can only see. “F*CK!” He shouted as he stood up, about to kick the trash bin that’s been standing silently beside him when he felt a presence standing behind him. He didn’t immediately turn. He already had the hint that something can happen if he makes a bad move. On the other hand, was Iriss who is as well as worried as the others. But that didn’t stop her from looking for someone she wanted to talk to… Alone. “Hey, have you seen Heaven?” She would keep on repeating the same question from her classmates, hoping that someone must have seen him but all of them would say they didn’t.” “Oh, hey Iriss,” Steven said, running back his original place, clenching his phone back into his pocket. “Hey Steven, Uhm, have you like… Seen Heaven somewhere?” She asks as she prepares to receive the same answer she’s been hearing. “Heaven?” “Yeah but… You know what? Thank you, ill just-” “He’s at the Sci Parl.” “What? How can you be so sure?” “he came to me just maybe five minutes earlier than you? Well, he told me that if ever someone asks for his whereabouts, he told me to tell the person that he’s going there.” Sudden happiness came through her heart as she just found out where he is. “Thanks!” “Yeah, no worries.” Iriss started running, excited to see her boyfriend. They have been keeping this relationship a secret because they don’t want any issue coming around: Heaven is a varsity tennis player while Iriss is a well-known competitive student as well. As soon as she’s already at the gate of the park, she was delighted to see Heaven there. She was about to call for him when she soon realized that he’s in deep thoughts. That is why he decided to walk slowly, hoping she won’t disturb him in any way. When she’s just beside the bench he’s seated on, she was about to take a sit when Heaven stands up and shouted something, making her a bit surprised. She was about to speak up when she realized that something is up with him. Did the killer follow me here? He, on the other hand, starts talking to himself. What is his plan?... Or her? F*ck I can’t determine any weakness right now because I don’t know the gender yet! And he had only one option to do. So, without having much of a choice, he closes his eyes as he screams, turning his gaze on the person, running through the presence. “Aaahhhh!!!” he shouted as he felt his body falling on the floor, in collision with the person. “Ow, what the f*ck are you doing Heaven!?” He was surprised to hear the person tells his name and what’s more surprising is that he could familiarize the voice. He instantly felt the weight of himself as the quickly opens his eyes, too surprised to see his classmate. “Iriss!?” “Urgh! F*ck you, Heaven!” Iriss complains, massaging her head. “So now what? Liking the position on top of me?” She said sarcastically, making him realize the position they’re in to. “Oops, sorry.” He said as he immediately stood up, stretching his hand to support Iriss to stand. She didn’t hesitate to accept the help, holding his hand and completely standing up. A soon as they’re standing in front of one another, they didn’t seem to realize how close they were to each other. “Are you okay? Where does it hurt?” Heaven started asking her questions as he starts scanning her. While he’s busy looking for any bruise of cuts, she couldn’t help but stare at his face, now that he is close to her. But before it would lead to anything else, she lightly pushes him back, stepping one step backward. Heaven didn’t expect that action, making him look at her with curiosity. “Iriss-” “I’m sorry… I shouldn’t have followed you here.” She said about to walk away when Heaven didn’t want to be abandoned with another question in his mind. He has a lot in his mind that he cannot sink it all properly and her leaving him with a cliffhanger will make his mind blow for another second. “Iriss… wait. Are you- “he wasn’t able to finish his sentence when Iriss close the gap, hugging him tightly. He tensed up the moment he realizes what just happened but just hearing her sob silently makes him hug her back, caressing her hair. “I’m sorry we have to hide this thing that’s happening between us. And now, the death of Lee must be too much...” he whispers making her sob turns into a painful cry, making him hug her tighter t get her as close to him. After staying in that position to clam Iriss down, Paul suddenly was there, surprised to see them hugging. Are they together? Dating? Or is he just comforting her? Shrugging the questions off, he just decided to not even bother continuing to attend there, not wanting to ruin anything between the two sad souls in a very quiet and spacious place for comfort.
