"What the f*ck should we do now?" Wilhelm asks as he continues to tap his shoes, sign that he's nervous about what will happen next.
"Nothing. Because if we do something, they'll probably think we did it." Franz said, playing with her fingers. She couldn't lie to the fact that they were there, and someone just died, and sooner or later, they'll be interrogating them one by one, squeezing then one by one, until they could no longer take it. And that's when the police think, that they have done something bad.
"Mr. Wilhelm Lopez?" The person wearing his usual black coat with a badge hanging around his neck, came opening the door as Caesar walks out.
He is indeed frightened.
"What will I do, Franz? I've never had any of these kinds of experiences with this kind of stuff." Wilhelm said as he is tensed, not knowing what might happen. Franz on the other hand places her warm hand on top of his cold ones, squeezing it lightly.
"You'll be just fine, Wilhelm. Because if something goes wrong with you, they'll be at fault. Okay?"
He nodded as he stands up, walking inside the room. Franz sighed as she buries her face into her own hands, envisioning what had happened earlier.
As soon as Iriss has heard about what happened, she immediately runs down to their stairs, seeing both of their parents sitting chilled on the soft couch they had on the house.
"Mom, I need to go out." She said, grabbing her keys from the table, running her hand through the strand of her hair. You can tell by her actions that she's in a hurry, nervous as hell if you can tell.
"But where are you going? It's dark outside." Her mom said, still curious.
"Mom, this is something important and I need to get there as soon as possible."
"Then tell me where are you going and who wants you to go." She didn't have the time to respond. She's sweating all the way as she couldn't keep it anymore.
"Something happened to my classmates." She said it is just breath as all she could get is a gasp from her parents. Worried, she told them everything she knew. Well, she wasn't supposed to tell it to them because she knew they were all responsible, but she couldn't manage to tell everything- about the bodies kept hidden. She was able to tell them about the game she thought was stupid, as well as her friend Angelica being hospitalized for some tragic reason. But that was just it.
Immediately then drive to the police station, seeing Heaven waiting outside. By the looks of it, he seems to be cold since he's rubbing his both shoulders with his own hands. She immediately hops out of the car, as she jumped on him.
"Heaven! Thank God you're okay." She said to her boyfriend as she kissed him to his lips. He did respond as they stayed that way in a matter of seconds. Soon, they had to break it out to catch some air. Her parents decided to go in first to check on her classmates, as she nodded. As soon as they were the ones left, she smiles at him with a hint of worry of care.
"What happened here!?" She asks instantly, as she was staring at his brown eyes that were dried up, still seeing a track of tears had dried to his cheek.
"He's dead, Ris." He mumbles, almost like a rustling wind.
"Wh-what?" She asks as she caresses his cheek.
He closes his eyes for a second to let himself feel a bit relaxed, before opening them again. Heyes catch hers for the second time as his eyes widen.
"Stay away from him. F*CKING STAY AWAY!!" He starts to panic, looking around, then suddenly mess his hair, punching his head as well.
"Please. No, no, no.! Stop hurting yourself, Ven! Please...What are you doing!!" she said as she hugs him tight. That made him stop moving and suddenly, she could feel him wrapping his hands around her. He then starts to sob again.
"He's f*cking dead, Ris. He's dead, okay?"
"Who is, babe? Tell me what's going on." She asks, knowing that both of them were shaking. As much as possible, she doesn't want to hear him say a name, but she knew she would find out soon, and she can't do anything to replay it.
"Kezee... He is-"
"W-what?" She asks as she could feel her knees weaken. "No, babe. No. That can't be f*cking true... right?" But all he did was shook his head miserably.
"Tell me that this is a freaking joke. Please!. Babe..." She said as she sobs onto his chest, him hugging her tighter.
"No... No!" She could feel her heart being torn apart by the minute. His cousin, his so-called brother since she's the only child, and his best friend.
"I don't know how the killer managed to sneak in. I know you love him and I love him too, okay? I... I just-"
"Shhhh." She said. "We can't return in time... Not until this is all settled. And don't blame yourself okay?" She said, still fighting her own pain. But that soon changes as she could feel him stiffen up.
"Babe?"
"You're right. I shouldn't blame myself." He said as he breaks the hug walking directly inside the station, clenching his fist.
"Heaven wait!!!"
.
.
"What happened here?" Iriss's mother asks as Franz and Caesar stood up. They hug each other as they start explaining what happened.
For about ten minutes, they were startled as the door was violently pushed open, revealing Heaven with rage, plastered within his eyes.
"You." He grunts as he had no second thoughts, pinning Franz into the wall. All of them, along with Franz, gasped from his actions.
"You. Killed. Him."
"What-"
"You're the only one who entered that f*cking room, Franz. You're behind all this!" He said as he chokes her, sliding her up.
"Ven! Stop it!" Iriss tries to stop him but failed.
"Let her go, Heaven."
Making her stop won't even matter as he is focused on choking her.
"S-stop"
"NO, I AM NOT STOPPING UNLESS YOU TELL ME YOU KILLED HIM-"
"I d-don't-"
"Mr. Anderson, let go of her or we will use violence to make you." The police immediately interfere as he pointed a gun right into Heaven's head.
"No! I am not letting go of this murderer!" He accused as he tightens the grip.
"OH MY GOSH!!!"
"VEN!"
Franz starts to feel light and cold, as her heart rate begins to drop a bit faster than earlier. She can't seem to talk, not to try her best to breathe in and out.
"She's about to die, for f*ck sake, Heaven! You're not a murderer! This is what just black Cat wants from us! To get inside our heads. And you're letting him." Caesar tries to convince him. "Are you a murderer?
Franz starts to drool as she doesn't have the strength to even fight his strength.
"Ven, babe? Please... She's not doing this okay?" Iriss pleaded as she couldn't stop crying, covering her face into her mother's chest.
Heaven starts to feel bad and at the same time, mad.
"Come on, Heaven. You're better than this." Caesar talks once more, making him let go of Franz.
"Aaaahahhhhhh" Franz inhaled as she was really weak. Heaven could hear the static of the police walkie, as he steps back from Franz. He looks at his hand as he could envision him killing her classmate.
"No." He mumbles to himself as he could feel regret in his heart.
And at that very moment, he feels light-headed. World twisting, as his vision comes to a total blur.
"Heaven?" A faint voice calling him.
"Heaven!!!"
"Hey," Iriss said, standing and approaching her. Unexpectedly, she receives a nervous, surprise tone from Franz.
"Where the heck am I?"
"Uhm, well, Heaven did something and-"
"Where the F*CK AM I, Iriss!? Where!?"
Frightened, she wasn't able to speak as he had realized where she was. She buries her hand into his face as he mumbles something which she cannot understand, making her nervous at the time being.
"Why would you bring me here!" She sounds so furious that made her back off. She looks away, not catching his stares at her.
"Just calm down for a second, okay?" She said, calming her senses.
"You don't really know what you're f*cking doing, Iriss... You know our lives are at stake here. Someone's watching us... All of us. And if I am to stay in this freaking hospital, he'll kill me here, trust me...And he will come for you, and all of us too."
"Why do you keep saying it's a 'he'?"
"Iriss, come to think of it. Earlier, all I can remember is Heaven, looking at me, deep in those fiery eyes he has. And I know for sure that he could've had killed me by now."
"What are you trying to say now, Franz?"
"What if he's the killer?"
"Why would you say that?"
"Because!" Franz paused as she realized who she is talking with. She heaved a sigh as she massages her nape, before talking.
"Wilhelm and Caesar got themselves in an interrogation, and we don't know what did they just said. It was supposed to be your boyfriend's turn but, why would he make a scene?"
"This is ridiculous, Franz."
"I know, but what if?"
"He's mourning for his best friend, Kezee who is my cousin, and your pal!"
"Do you think I am not mourning for his death!? Iriss, killers are the best actors and if we don't move now, one by one, that killer will bring us all down. Do you want to end up getting killed?"
"Who wants to die? Well, clearly I don't."
"And so do I, Iriss. So if you want to live, help me get out of here because I don't want my dead body lying down in a stupid hospital bed. And If you wanna live, you might want to start investigating your boyfriend." She said as she reaches out for her hand.
"I don't know what to do anymore, Franz."
"What do you mean?"
"Something inside me tells me that, he's innocent." She stated...
"Can I be honest?" she asks as she looks at her, with confusion.
"We are all innocent, Iriss. Not until we discover our real demons inside." She said, making her shiver.
"What does that suppose to mean?"
"Look, Miss. All I want is to find out who's doing this and why is he doing this to our batch, okay?"
"Yeah... Yeah me too." She said as she caresses her shoulder. They smile at each other as she decided to leave her to rest.
And that made Franz Lean onto her soft white pillow, drifting off to sleep.
"What the f*ck did you just do?"
"Why am I here again!?"
"What the hell is this!?" The person with no face threw the dark paper bag into her, as she didn't hesitate on opening it.
As soon as she opens it, she was frightened of what she saw.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!?"
No response.
"YOU PSYCHOPATH!"
"You are all innocent, not until you discover your real demon."
.
.
"NOOO!!"
"Oh shoot. You're awake now, sweetie."
"No!! I don't want to have nightmares anymore! Please help me, Aunt Lei. Please."
She immediately runs through her as she hugs her, caressing her back.
"Hush now, sweetie. Everything's going to be okay. Just be calm. We will go to Mr. Wilson after this, okay?"
"Aunt Lei, I don't want to stay here anymore. I want to go home."
"You will get out here, sweetie. We will go home."
"What do you propose, officer?"
"We need to investigate them, one by one."
"And how will we do that?"
"We just need to request a letter to the School Office."
