"Walls have ears. Doors have eyes.
Trees have voices. Beasts tell lies.
Beware the rain. Beware the snow.
Beware the man You think you know."
-Songs of Sapphique (Catherine Fisher)
Angelica went straight into the police, with no hesitation. Her mind is blank, yet she's focused on only one mission- to report the Black Cat. She had received multiple calls but decided not to answer them, or else, her plans would be put into ruins.
She wipes the tears off of her face to avoid her sight get blurry since she's driving.
"F*ck, f*ck F**************!!!" She screams as she hits the steering wheel, gritting her teeth.
I'll avenge you, Regina. I'll bring forth justice to you and Lee.
As she arrives at the police station, she hit the break as she goes out, carrying the dark paper bag she had just received last night.
As she got out of the car, she locks the door, walking confidently, her phone vibrates. Grabbing it out of her pocket, she eyed on the caller ID
UNKNOWN CALLING
She immediately got frightened and somehow, being followed. She looks around, and they are was pretty empty but have several car mobile and motors being parked.
She answers the call but decided to keep her mouth shut.
[Help!!! Hellppp, please!!! You've got to help me-]
She was startled and at the same time, frightened to what she just heard. She couldn't identify who was shouting from the other line.
"Hello, who is this? Who are you how did you get-"
[You have a choice, Miss Angelica. Either you step inside that precious building, or not.]
"I'm gonna report you, motherf*cker!!"
An eerie laugh was the response she's expecting, but the effect on her body is still the same. It scares her.
[Then I guess you've made a choice.]
And before he hunts up,
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Her eyes widen as she could imagine what had just happened. And from that three consecutive gunshots, she had come to realize that someone is really after her, and her safe place, for now, is the police station. She hurriedly runs through the door as it slides open, welcomed by three police.
"Help! Someone is after me!!"
"This way."
One of the male officers assists her to sit, as he slides to his chair.
"Please you've got to help me." She said as she places the dark paper bag in front of the officer. With a puzzled look, he opens it. But before he could go any further, he immediately complains about the smell inside the bag. He took deep breaths before reopening, taking out the plastic. He places it down as he slowly opens it, hoping it wasn't a bomb or something.
"What the hell is this!?" He exclaimed after finding out what it is. He looks at her, eyes filled with questions.
"That was my classmate, Regina Howard. She was a killer yesterday and this was sent to me as a warning or something."
"So, what are you trying to imply here, miss-"
"Angelica Brown."
"So, Miss Brown, can you remember the details?"
She nodded.
"Is someone named Lee Scott reported missing?"
The police scan through his files and were surprised to see the name she had asked. "Yes, he is."
"He's dead." She answers confidently.
"And how can you say that for sure, Miss Brown?" He asks, still taking notes.
"Because the killer SENT US ALL THE IMAGE!!!" She shouted, pretty pissed of the consecutive questions she had to ask.
"Here." She said and about to open the message, showing it immediately to the police.
Her phone starts to load as they wait and just before the loading ends and showing the main reason why she goes there, the police officer gave her a questioning look. A little puzzled, he decided to ask her.
"Ma'am, are you trying to play with me?" He asks that made her look at her phone.
Sh*t.
"The internet's not working great." She said as she waited, but it took her too long. She tries to refresh until
Sorry! The message you're trying to open has been deleted. Either the user deleted it or blocked you so you can no longer see the whole message.
"What the f*ck!?" She hissed, remembering what the killer had told her.
[You have a choice, Miss Angelica. Either you step inside that precious building, or not.]
"I'm going to report you, motherf*cker!!"
[Then I guess you've made a choice.]
"Miss Brown?" She snaps back to reality and looks at the police officer, suddenly tears flowing.
"Mister Officer, someone is trying to get us all killed!" She said as she violently places her phone down into the table, with the opened.
"The killer is trying to play with us with this stupid game and we don't know why wants to kill us!" She said hysterically, making the police scan the game.
"And we need to go to school because if not, all of my classmates might die in an instant."
"Guys we need to stop Angelica now!!" Wilhelm exclaimed, trying to be as calm as possible, but failed. He knew that from the moment she decided to do something really bad, it’s not only her whose life is at stake.
EVERYONE OF THEM IS A TARGET.
"I'll try to think of something," Franz suggested, as she looks at Paul whose eyes landed right into hers. for a second, they stare at each other before Paul decided to break it off, sending a message to her that something is wrong with him.
"Have you called her yet?" Wilhelm asks as he tries to calm himself. All can Paul do is shake his head.
"She's not picking up, Wilhelm. And she knew that if she answers this call, she'll only feel pain to not avenge Regina."
Ring... Ring... Ring...
A rattling sound made them all stop. They look at each one of them intently, trying to guess what is that noise and where does it come from.
"Ford, your phone's vibrating!" Joy says as she points the phone in front of her. A random number was glued on the black screen. He looks at them before deciding to pick up the phone, clicking the speaker button, waiting for a sound from the other line.
[You've all been bad, dear players. And now, I've been pissed.]
Heaven couldn’t contain himself as he's the one to grab the phone, answering for all of them. "You've been talking about getting pissed, you son of a b*tch!? What do you call yourself messing around with us!?"
[You think this is just a stupid game, Mr. Heaven? No. This is not just a game where you hide and I seek, No! This is not just a game where you do truth or dare, or if you win someone will buy you a piece of candy, No... This is not just a silly game because if it does...] The person paused as he heaved a breath, before finally speaking up. [Keep this in mind, dear players. No one is bound to be innocent because we are all sinful. And tonight marks the official game. And the present I'll be giving you will not be a warning. It will be your nightmares.]
And just like that, the call ended, making all of them, having a question for themselves.
What have I done?
