By the time practice ended, my legs felt like overcooked noodles and Coach had screamed himself hoarse. You'd think after five years, the man would realize yelling doesn't make Kade Kingston listen. The guy's as stubborn as they come.....always has been.
They said he got five days' suspension for the fight with Hartland at Venom, but that was just the surface. What really got him benched was his leg. That old injury he swore was "nothing serious" was turning into something worse.
But Kade being Kade, would rather limp through drills than admit pain. Coach had warned him a dozen times....."Push that knee again, Kingston, and you'll be done before scouts even blink." But warnings bounce off Kade like rain on steel.
