Chapter 10

Joel Cesborn

"You okay?" Axel asked and I looked up to him.

"No." I answered honestly.

"Irene?"

"I don't know why she kept pushing me away."

"What did you do to her when you both were in highschool?"

"I didn't do anything, she left me suddenly." I said and he raised his eyebrows.

"She kept telling me to move on, go f**k another girl, to move on and she's basicly just shoving me away." I sighed.

"Well.. I bet she has a reason behind it. You can't see this from your perspective only."

"I asked her but she never wanted to tell me."

"Did you two often fight?" Axel asked as he poured the tequila to our glasses.

"Yeah, sometimes."

"Why is it about?"

"She just pissed about me getting along with girls."

"That's one of the points." Axel flicked his fingers.

"Argh!" I groaned and drank my drink in one shot.

"You can't blame her only, Joel. You need to reflect on yourself too." He patted my back and I sighed. Suddenly my twin entered the room with Autumn.

"What's with you?" She asked.

"Irene?" Autumn asked.

"Who else?" Axel said.

"I still can't believe that you hide her from us." Autumn said as she plopped beside Axel. She took a beer from the small fridge beside her.

"Why did you hide her anyway?" Joan asked and I started to realize.

"Don't tell me that she left me because I hide her?" I stated and looked at them.

"Maybe.. I mean.. I will do the same if Morris acts like that." Autumn said and sipped her drink.

"Don't tell me that she's like mom, when she got you." Joan looked at Axel and Axel looked at her disbelief.

"Pregnant?" Autumn's eyes widened and she turned to me.

"She's pregnant?" Axel turned to me. I shook my head.

"I'm 100% sure that she's not pregnant."

"Then why? She left because you hide her? I mean that might be the reason." Joan said.

"How can you even hide her? Why? She's not ugly or fat or disable. I don't get you." Axel asked and I leaned back to the sofa. I sighed.

"I wanted to protect my reputation." I said truthfully and they all looked at me disbelief.

"Reputation? We have it without trying." Autumn said in a really annoyed tone.

"I have friends outside our circle in case you forgot, Autumn North." I hissed.

"But for what? So people can see you as a cool guy?" Joan asked and I turned to her glaring.

"You acted the same."

"Cut it twins." Axel hissed.

"How can I get this girl back?" I ran my hands through my hair, frustrated.

"You should ask dad, how he got mom back." Joan said and I sighed.

"You're not helping!" I bursted angrily and she flinched.

"I'm outta here." My twin got up and suddenly Andrew and Archer entered the room. Joan walked out.

"So what's up?" Archer asked.

"I think she left because you hide her." Suddenly Axel said.

"Hide who?" Andrew asked.

"Joel hid Irene when he was in highschool. Even we don't know about it." Autumn said.

"Why exactly did you hide her?" Archer asked.

"I still love my reputation. I just want to play around but at the same time I want her. She's not the type of girl who can mingle with everyone. She didn't have any friends too remember? I mean.. they will bully her and just-"

"You can protect her." Autumn cut me.

"Let's switch the position.. You're Irene and Irene is you. You both are dating but she's with another guy everyday without her acknowledging you. She kisses, hugs, makes out and ignores you in public like she never dates you. Like you both are strangers." My hands turned into a fist just by imagining that.

"See.. You hate it. I can't even believe she can endure that long." Autumn added and I sighed.

"She never says anything about it."

"It's because she loves you too much and you just don't get it." She said.

"You're an idiot." Archer said.

"Not only him but you too.. you and you!" Autumn pointed at Andrew, Archer and Axel.

"Why me?" Andrew asked.

"You need to find a way if you really want to get her back. Find out about it more." Autumn looked at me and suddenly Morris entered. He plopped right beside Autumn.

"What are you guys talking about?" He asked, confused.

"Burst into her apartment and move in there." Archer suggested.

"That's a good idea." Andrew added and I sighed.

"Be bold." Axel said.

"It's not easy." I rolled my eyes.

"Try to do sweet things, start over.. don't do things that she hates." Morris said.

"You're so sweet." Autumn kissed Morris's cheek.

"Thanks."

"I tried.."

"Then find a way or give up." Autumn said in a cold tone.

"Don't tell me you want to give up? I know that face." Axel said and I turned to him.

"I don't know."

"Then find another girl.." Archer said.

"Yeah.. I'll ask Calla to find another guy too." Autumn said in a sarcastic tone. Archer glared at her.

"You sure? You want to end this? You're giving up?"

"I don't know.. I'm just tired. I tried to look for her and now she kept shoving me away. I have my own limit bar too." I sighed.

"Then give up." Morris said.

"Then do it.." Andrew added too.

"Everything is up to you but don't regret it in the future." Autumn said.

"4 years.. it's quite long to wait for someone. I'm not surprised if you want to give up now." Axel said and I nodded.

"Should I?"

"Go ahead.."
