The clock struck seven and the two still hadn’t returned.
Unable to bear the waiting, I grabbed my bag and decided to call Dane. I should have done this from the start. I couldn’t believe that I would be occupied with worry if there was a convenient way to solve my problem.
However, my disappointment reached its peak after I realized that I didn’t have a number of that person. Only Paula, the nursery school, my boss, and the landlord could be seen in the list of my contacts, and no one else.
