Waking from her long dream, Daisy’s grandmother happily stretched her limbs as she adjusted her sight to the blinding light.
She looked around, trying to check if the person she was waiting for had made it back last night. The old woman could only helplessly sigh as the silence of the house reached her ears.
She massaged her nape, looking more dejected than ever.
It seemed like life had escaped her body as she wiped the tears from her eyes. However, it did not take much time before a smile was drawn on her face once more, making her last reaction nothing but a mere joke.
