Slowly…Gently…As if I was robbing someone, I pulled my hands from Dane’s grip.
I tried to fool him by closing my eyes first, but this man did not sleep until the last second. He continued to tuck my hair and check my presence as if I were a miraculous existence that would vanish out of nowhere.
If I could, then I would choose to stay with him. Unfortunately, circumstances won’t let me do it since there is another life waiting for me back home. I feel sorry for Dane, but my priorities had been set straight from the start.
With those thoughts in mind, I get off the bed to pick my clothes one by one.
