Sophia POV
After a long day of school, Sophia popped home for a shower and a change of clothes first. She wanted to spend the night with Alessandro, without having to hurry in the morning. She would go from his hospital room straight to class.
She couldn’t wait to see him.
She was so excited just to be near him. A giddy feeling stirred in the bottom of her stomach. She’d only been away from him for a few hours, but it felt like a lifetime.
She hurried up the stairs to get ready. She hoped that Ellie would make another dinner package for her, so she wouldn’t have to wait till after to go, but when she hurried down and passed her father’s office, his voice rang out, calling her inside.
