Chapter Four – Aria’s P.O.V
I lie on the floor, my body weakening with every second that passes by. I am uncertain of the poison I had taken from the kitchen but I recall taking it from Grandmother’s house at her coven without informing her.
Sophia rushes into the living room. She is no longer screaming and there are guards from the Alpha’s mansion with her and from the sound I can hear, there’s a car parked outside.
“Sophia, what is going on? Why are they here?” I questioned her with a trembling voice.
Sophia doesn’t give me an answer. The guards lift me gently and take me to the car. Alaric at the drivers seat and his eyes focused on the road brings the engine to life and begins to drive away. Sophia seats by the edge of the door, my head resting on her laps.
“Alaric, what are you doing here? I’m fine and there’s no need to worry,” I mumble, my voice fading gradually.
My vision seems to get a little blurry but I fight it to the best I can in order to get a better look at Alaric’s face on the rear view mirror.
His face has worry and fear written all over it. His worry, maybe because the supposed Luna of his Alpha had just poisoned herself and was on the verge of death, and his fear; the granddaughter of the most reverend witch was about die in there pack.
The Twilight Coven, my grandmother’s coven with her as their leader has been in power of every other witch coven. Respected and adored by every werewolf clan. They have the power to wipe an entire pack without thinking twice, but they also loved things being peaceful.
At the entrance of the coven where we are at the moment is a gate which beyond its walls to an ordinary man and passerby is merely an infinite land of grass and CT, but with the right spell, one would find himself arrive at a little peaceful village once he opened up the gate.
Only a few selected outsiders knew the passcode spell to the village entrance, but it is constantly changed after every month for security reasons. They would be notified by a messenger bird, spelled to vanish after it has completed it’s task and if one ever tried to write down the words which he was told, the paper or surface on which he wrote I would instantly ignite and burn with an illuminous fire until nothing is left.
Whatever poison is was that took seemed to lose it’s effect on me once in awhile as I would regain my consciousness and strength, not feeling nauseous or strange for the time in which the effect seem to wear off and after a moment, the side effects of the poison would return.
There are women waiting outside my grandmother’s house as we arrive. Alaric parking the car and stepping down to help me out of the car. The look on his face when he sees me looking like nothing had happened to me is priceless.
I step out of the car with a smile on my face. Memories flood my mind but I fight to keep them out. The foolish things I had done with Landon in my grandmother’s home, without her knowledge.
I am puzzled by the baffled look on the faces of the witches and non witches who stand outside the house. Their expectation was to see a half dead Aria being carried down from a vehicle and taken into the house to be treated by her grandmother.
“Why is everybody standing here?” I ask but receive no answer in return.
The grand doors of the house are opened and my grandmother walks out of the house. Alaric paying his most sincere respect as a representative of the Night Pack. He bows his head gently and raises his hands above his head, making a diamond shape with his hands.
“Mama. What happened?” I ask.
My head becomes dizzy once more and my vision becomes blurry. I feel the world spinning under my feet and I can’t stand on my own anymore.
“Get her inside!” yells my grandmother. Her voice filled with worry and fear of the quite known outcome of whatever is happening to me.
The witches in one accord lift their hands and my body levitates off the floor as they whisper the ever popular floating spell.
_Wingardium leviosa._
I feel my body become light as a feather as my feet leave the floor and my body floats on the air and into the house, my grandmother walking beside me and leading me into the middle of the living room where a bed has been laid out for me.
Once they are certain my body is well positioned above the bed, they reverse their spell and my body gradually comes down to the bed.
Unlike before, my body has grown weaker, maybe because of the spell they used on me or maybe because of where I was. I can’t really say, but at this point, I do not see myself getting any better.
“What poison did she take?” Mama asks.
Sophia hands her the little black poison container and my grandmother and every other witch in the room gasp.
Apparently, the poison I had taken is one which was said to kill humans within a second of consumption, but for some reason it didn’t work that way on me. This gave my grandmother the slightest hope that she could possibly save me from death.
She tries every reversal poison she has knowledge of, but none of them seem to do anything to me as my body only grows weaker and my heart beats at irregular intervals. A very strange behavior for the heart of a human.
Tears roll down my grandmother’s tears as it dawn’s on her that there is possibly no more saving me and that she is about to lose the last member of her family.
“Aria, child. What did he do that could have pushed you to this?”
My mother’s question is one which I had expected her to ask sooner. Telling her would only make her want to exact revenge on my behalf. I refuse to answer her, but she is aware of the fact that Landon had hurt me and she hates everything about him for doing such.
With tears in her eyes and her heart broken, my grandmother pleads with me, “Make a wish and I promise to make it come true.”
At this point, I regret taking the poison and having my life end this way. I want to have my revenge on him, I want to make him pay for hurting me. There is only one way to do it.
“I want to be reborn,” I whisper to my grandmother.
The very act is forbidden in her coven and that is because she hated such practice, but for her granddaughter, she is ready to break even her own rules.
She orders the rest of the witches to leave the room and I am left alone with her in the room.
“I want to he reborn and take my revenge on him. Landon will pay,” I whisper as my eyes feel sleepy but a sleep which I wouldn’t be able to awake from.
_For the one whose life was cut short due to pain. For the heart which seeks vengeance. Bring this soul back to fulfil it’s darkest desire._
_Celium Venilium._
There’s a cold wind and chills run down my spine as my eyes close and I draw my last breathe.
