As I got to the room, I was shocked to see Abigail chatting happily with Chito. They turned towards me as I walked inside.
"Hi!" My brows furrowed as I gazed at Chito. His face was alive with a smile, his eyes lit from a fire within, but as soon as he set eyes on me, that scowl I had come to know as part of his face, immediately replaced it. My heart sank and I looked away from him.
"Hi, Mia, Chito and I were just talking about you. We wondered when you would be back." She gave me a knowing smile as her gaze settled on my clothes.
