Chapter 5 The new chapter- Alexander

1493 Words
With the help of his long-time aid, Reyes from the Philippines, he was able to settle in the country and find himself falling in love with the secluded place. Reyes was born in Siquijor, and that's one of the reasons he chose to reside in this suburb. "Are you sure? Can you endure living in this place?" his driver asked for affirmation. "Absolutely. I think this place suits me." He replied positively. Before he left Brazil, he sold all his properties to leave no trace of his family. He paid Shantal five hundred million dollars to shut her up and get rid of the baby. He doesn't want to have a personal connection with anyone in Brazil. He instead set up his own business in the Philippines with other Filipino investors and partners. His personal driver remains as his assistant. He knew everything about him, which is why he could not just dispose of him. Besides, he still has a purpose for granting him favors to make him live longer. He built the Moreau Plaine Estate, the first mansion ever built in the province. He intentionally constructed these three hundred million pesos' worth of residences to please his ego. He has so much pride and is proud of everything he has. His jewelry and real estate businesses are doing pretty well in his first three years in the country. "What time are we going to meet Therese?" his assistant asked Alexander. "Seven would be great," he answered. Therese was a beautiful lady who worked at the nearest resort. He was fond of her and wanted to marry her. He's been getting everything he wanted, and this lady is one of them. They had been seeing each other for quite some time, and he knew he was going to get her sooner than he anticipated. Reyes is now driving all the way to the resort, which is just fifteen minutes from his residence. "Good evening, Mr. Morreau! What can I help you with?" the receptionist warmly greeted him. "I am hoping to see Therese," he said, smiling. "Oh, she is inside waiting," the friendly person in the reception replied. He walked through the lobby on his way to the restaurant. He found Therese sitting down with her two friends. It seems like they're having a good conversation. "Hi, Mr. Moreau! Therese was so excited to see you," her friend teases the beautiful lady. "Really? Wow, I am flattered. You looked gorgeous and that scent, I couldn't resist," he jokingly said. Therese would just smile candidly, and so Alexander would hold her hand. He held her while they were walking back to the car and waited in the parking area. "Where are we going? I thought we were going to be having dinner," the lady said, amused. "Yes, we are, but I want to bring you to a place you have never been before," he answered with a boyish smile. Therese did not question him and is willing to go with him. He can feel that she also likes him. With his good looks, who wouldn't want someone like him? Therese must be so lucky to get the attention of a man like Alexander, who is brilliant and handsome. It's visible in her smile and her eyes how happy she was when they were together. They arrived at the mansion at exactly seven-thirty in the evening. The lady was mesmerized by the view of the magnificent mansion right in front of her. "It's so beautiful." Unbelievably, she uttered. "It's more beautiful inside. Let's go in!" Alexander said, again posing as a gentleman while holding her hand as they walked through the large mansion. There were helpers and his favorite assistant, Reyes, who also serves as his butler and driver. "Welcome to Moreau Plain Estates!" everyone welcomed her happily. "Thank you!" She can't ignore the attentiveness of everybody in this huge place. As they traveled to the dining area, the lady was surprised. Foods are already prepared, flowers are everywhere, romantic set up with dimmer lights and there's the large font in front of her that she couldn't believe was referring to her. "Is this kind of a joke?" she asked, stuttering. "No, I wasn't joking. I took everything seriously. You're the only woman I wanted to be Mrs. Alexander Moreau. Would you be willing to accept that?" he questioned her. She talked to him, stammering. "I don't know what to say. I came here to have dinner with you and all of a sudden you are asking for marriage." "Everything you have seen here will all be yours if you gladly accept my offer. I couldn't find any girl I ever wanted to marry. I don't accept no for an answer," he said wistfully. "You own this place?" she exclaimed, shocked that she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She thought he took him to a museum or something. The place was indeed worth a lifetime. "Yes, if you will be mine forever. You do not have to work to earn a living. You will be enjoying everything I have. What I have is also yours." Alexander declared. "Yes, I do like you, but-!" she briefly replied, but got cut off because Alexander kissed her, and it was her first kiss. He is seeking confirmation. "I said I do not accept no for an answer, so that must be a yes." Therese found herself welcoming his offer and realized that everything was real when Alexander let her wear a diamond ring on her right ring finger. He kissed her deeply and breathlessly like there was no tomorrow. The sweet music started to stream on the air while they were being served dinner. "I couldn't believe this is all happening," she vented. "I want us to get married two days from now. I can't wait for the day to have you wearing my last name," he expressed. Therese asked out of curiosity, "Why me?" She said, "I am just a simple employee from the resort near your place. I can't see any more reasons for you to be attracted to a woman like me." "Simply because I like you. I would want you to be the mother of my children," he replied, smiling. Alexander was looking at the beautiful creature in front of him. It seems like she was satisfied with the answers she heard from the man who proposed his name. She just can't get over the idea that she is going to be ultra-rich because of her marrying the billionaire in town. She no longer cares about what others may think. It's all about her future and the fulfillment of her dream. He sent her home right after their dinner date and set her wedding day. Everybody was happy, thinking what a fairy tale indeed it was when an ordinary person met a billionaire businessman and offered her marriage instantly. It was a dream of most locals in their province to escape from poverty by marrying a rich man. Their wedding was splendid. A famous wedding coordinator made it even more memorable for everyone who attended, especially for the married couple. "How are you, Mrs. Moreau?" Alexander asked, whispering. "I am so happy! Thank you Mr. Moreau!" she responded to him with a kiss. They had their honeymoon abroad for two weeks. This has become the beginning of his new life with the woman he chose to live with his entire being. "I am the luckiest woman alive. Thank you for everything!" she said after their honeymoon. They are now living on the estate, as he wanted. Therese was the eldest in the family. To fulfill her promise to her family, Alexander helped her build a new house for her family and promised to help her siblings finish their studies. "Yes, you are, Mrs. Morreau. I will grant all your wishes as I have promised you," he assured his wife. In a short period of time, Therese learned to love her husband wholeheartedly with no inhibitions. "Sweetie!" she shouted while in the shower room. Alexander can't hear her shouting because he's busy talking to someone on the phone. "Alexander!" she called out. He hurriedly ran to the room to check on what was happening. He felt a bit anxious hearing her shouting loudly from afar. "What happened?" he blurted out, worried. "Look!" she cried, holding the small white tester. "Is that a pregnancy test?" he confirmed. "Yes, and it says positive!" she replied in a joyful voice. "Wow! I'll be a father!" Alexander acted like a child, jumping off his feet. He was overjoyed with the news. "Let us go to the doctor to make sure the baby is safe," he said. Therese hugged her husband really tight. "Yes, we will go tomorrow morning," she agreed. It was the greatest blessing to their growing family. She later gave birth to Keila after nine months and, two years later, Lucio, their only son, was born.
